My first ever clone rooted !! Now I have a question

So I have this cutting that I've been trying to root since the 11th. I have it in a peat pellet, I just broke the burlap wrap around the peat to take a look at the stem & noticed a root about a 1/4" long. My question is this, I'm going to grow with a hempy bucket. Should I take the cutting out of the peat & place directly now in hempy & start the veg feeding or should I wait for the root to grow longer or should I transfer it with the peat to my hempy bucket ?

Personally myself I like to let the clone root very well before I plant it. Usually I get roots shooting out around the entire peat pellet. Once they are well rooted and they go into the pot they will grow pretty quickly from my experience. I have had good results with soaking my peat pellet with jump start and misting once a day with the same product and once a day with straight water. I also like to drip some rooting solution into the pellet as well as dipping the clone before I place it in the peat. My results have been fantastic with this approach. Heat mats help as well.

Thanks, I'll let it root more. when I was watering the peat pellet I did have a teaspoon of the schultz root powder added to a gallon of chlorine free water. I figured it couldn't hurt & sure enough it didn't :)

Exactly !! It's lack of experience with using peat pellets with a little over watering the peat pellets. Those little bastards hold a lot of water. I just checked my last 2 cuttings & they have a better root mass than the first one. Next time I clone I'll use an aerocloner. I was going to be happy if I had 1 cutting root but to find 3 of 3 for a 100% success really makes me happy. My cloning techniques can only get better from here :)

I have found I get better rooting just putting the clones right into a cup of my favorite potting soil and 86ing the peat pellets altogether. I got 16 clones in veg right now and half of them were rooted in the pellets the other half into cups of soil. when I transplanted I noticed how much more MASSIVE the root systems were from the cup clones. just my 2 cents
