I changed my Avatar to something more suited to my name. For those that don't know what SSJ is, it means Super Saiyan. My new Avatar is the Saiyan symbol mix with the Gemini symbol. I'ma DBZ nerd.

It's killin me that my build is on hold for a bit. I got a few bills at the end of the month. Don't have extra $ to get the rest of the parts. But once I have those parts, it's go time till it's 100% finished! Look for updates around the 1st week of Sept.

Since I won't have any light updates for a bit I thought I'd share the finer details of my whole setup.

The light:
A 139W actively cooled Vero10 DIY Fixture. The COBs are going to be wired in a series running @.35amps.

Grow Space:
28" x 19" x 40" are the inside dims of my cab. Not a whole lot of space but I'm only growing a personal head stash. I pulled 2.5 zips out of the first test run of the cab.

Medium/Container:
Roots Organic soil in what's going to be a plastic pot & smart pot hybrid. Drill some holes in the plastic pot and then line it with some landscaping fabric. I really like the air pruning thing but haven't tried it out yet.

Nutrients:
Nectar For The Gods. An organic, calcium based nutrient line. Already did a run with this stuff and the plants LOVED it. Grew some really dense bud.

Grow Technique:
Main-lining aka Manifold. A technique to get equal nute distribution to the buds. Most people that grow this way typically have 8 or 16 heads. I'm only going to have 2 per plant. This way I can cut down on the extra veg time and hopefully keep some air flow between the buds by not have many branches. Read more about Main-lining here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-main-lining-thread.542308/

Not sure if this counts as a growing technique but giving your plants love and attention is important. They are living things.

Music:
One thing I haven't really seen is people playing music for their plants. A fellow grow I know swears that music helps. So I figured why the hell not. I bought a small blue tooth speaker that will be mounted on the back wall of the cab. I've read some articles about music for plants and it's suggested to only play music for 3 hours a day, tops.

Grounding Rods:
Each pot will have a grounding rod in the soil. My theory here is my plants are indoors and disconnected from the earth and her electrical field. By grounding them, they become the same electric potential of the earth, almost zero. It may sound a bit far fetched for some but I'm open minded. And I only want the best for my girls.

Current Goal:
To get at least a 1/2-1 ounce per plant.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have about my setup

I like the music idea from a good vibrations standpoint. plants are interesting creatures that cant be explained 100% by science alone.

Can you elaborate specifically about NFTG "herculean harvest" since its bonemeal based, have u completely eliminated other calmag products from your last grow?

My last grow I used nothing but the Nectar line (not all the products though) Herculean Harvest is 10% bone meal. It's the biggest source of Calcium in the Nectar line. Each one of their other products has Calcium in it, just not as much. The magnesium comes from their Medusa's Magic. If you'd like to learn more check out the videos of the owner of the company talking about the line.

Minor Update:

Got the fan guards today. The hole in the cover was a little smaller than the guards. That's why they look at little off center. I forgot to account for the guard when coming up with the dimension.

And this beautiful bud was grown with this light and Nectar For The Gods nutrients.

Not gonna lie. This is inspiring. I'm at step one in my diy venture. I was thinking on a similar design using cxb's on an aluminium tube. You have made me rethink, can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks! What kind of tools do you have or have access to? What kind of design are you thinking about now? What's the size of the space you're growing in? While I'm waiting for parts I can help you come up with something, if you'd like.

I have a selection of power tools.sliding Mitre saw, dremel, drills even have a router. If I fancy making a skirting board lol. I'm thinking a similar design to yours. Using an aluminium c runnerlike a junction bar for cable. Bore holes for leds and mount heatsinks inside the aluminium run with fans on top. I'm still waiting for parts myself. I have a 1m x 0.5m tent. I have ordered 5 cxb3590 and a driver from alibaba so got a couple weeks to get something designed

What kind of heatsinks are you thinking of going with?

I found some snazzy looking copper ones. I'm gonna look about as I don't really want the long single ones. Would rather individual ones for each cob.

@brettsog, I would suggest then what a lot of other people are doing and get CPU heatsinks. I'm workin up a 3D design for ya with the details you've given me so far.
