My First Cola Pics and questions

How long roughly, until this lowryder 2 is ready for harvest????

It has been flowering for 5 weeks now, has a nice sized main cola, but as it’s my first grow I’m not sure how the buds should develop.

There are lots of white and some orange brown hairs.
Do these hairs shrink / disappear as the more substantial buds form?

Are the trichomes the little crystals on the leaves or on the white hairs?

I have a 20x loupe- don’t think it’s strong enough – but where should I focus it when examining clear/cloudiness of thrichomes?

On the white hairs? Little green round bits behind hairs? (Are they the buds?)

Can;t quite believe I'm at this stage , want to get it right, Cheers

Trichs are all around but are most visible on the leaves at the bud, called sugar leaves because they become coated. I used to use 30x loupes and pocket microscopes until I bought a vintage Tasco microscope on ebay for like $20. It is amazing. I can see a wide expanse of trichs on a leaf tip (you do have to cut it off for this) larger than the photo above. I can see clear, cloudy and amber trichs in the same field of view. Well worth it. Look for Bushness and Tasco scopes and search under vintage microscopes and used microscopes. Get one that works and needs nothing and ask that question.

70 - 80 days total from seed to scissors. If your at 5 weeks flowering thats 35 days + 20 for veg?

I'd say you have 3 weeks left
