My first Aerogarden, My first Grow

Hey guys, I just ordered a new Aerogarden 6 Elite+. They say it is a 30% better growth than older versions. It extends 2 feet with better light bulbs. I also purchased the 6 pod Master Deluxe Kit to use my own seeds.

I am a woodworker and I made a medium sized box for my Aerogarden. I posted pictures of my box. I was going to add a sealed shut wooden door with a lock. Should I poke holes into the back of the box and blow a fan in through the holes to keep the water cool and the air cycling? I need to minimize the smell during flowering so I'm just getting prepared. I'm also going to buy one of those small carbon filters that are for small spaces and drawers. Im hoping with the sealed box and the filter contorling the odor I can keep the smell down.

This 6 pod version does not use the exact same method of the tubes, and pumps. I was wondering if anyone has the new Aerogarden because I'm wondering what setting to use.

Any feedback at all would be great.

Thanks:hump:

lol ya i just planned on using that for the first couple weeks. I'm in the process of building a huge storage box and hooking it up with ventilation and a spot for the carbon filter.

Do you have to keep a fan blowing on the base of the Aero or the plant at all times?

nah you dont have to keep a fan on them at all times..some people do, some dont. most recommend the fan to prevent over-heating the plants...but thats the last thing you need to be worrying about.. get your setup completely operational then worry about those misc things bongsmilie
