how can i stop the odor or shall i worry about that when i come to it?

ALL HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED:mrgreen:

is that regular aluminum foil? If so go to wally world (Wal-Mart) and buy a few emergency blankets made of mylar. much better reflector and lighter and all around better. $2 for one good size piece.

i dont even think u can use halogen lights to grow, and they would be far too warm for your cardboard box.... they dont produce enough of the plants wanted light spectrum... you would get better results using a 20w cfl light, im pretty sure of that... give up on the halogens and get some CFL's any amount would be better than halogen bulbs... u could just get any number of CFL bulbs and surround your plant with them,,, itsll grow,,,.....

Whoa. Yeah cfls or u got a fire on ur hands. Is that foil? Get it out. As well there are likely far more things u can find layin around that will suffice far better than cardboard

you can use halogens (did it for my first grow during some of the veg state) DON'T...it gets too too too hot, and in result your light is too far away and stretches your baby, and you will light that cardboard box on fire, trust me, i lit a pair of plants on fire by accident (i let it on top of them...not a good idea

hope this helped

Halogens? Your gonna melt your grow box and the plants along with it. Why not some standard CFL's?

How do i set them up though i have 2x 40w cfl but i dont no how to get them working like with the halogen spot lights they came with a housing and all i had to do was connect to plug but what do i do with the cfl's? they wont fit in the same holder.

I would just skip the halogen idea and pick up some daytime flouros or something similar from the store. Set up maybe 4-6 in that box.

Sorry missed your previous bit. One way to wire your standard cfl... Use old lamps and the cords from them all intact. Basically break it down till you have just the cable.

what about the smell ?
i am 18 but still live with my parents they would screwww if they new so im trying to keep it discreet any tips?
I've never known anyone who pulled off a full show in their parents' house without the parents' permission. Your mom will find it. Lowryder stink like hell and you've got no sort of ventilation or odour control. Not to mention cardboard boxes lined with foil are far from light tight. I know, the first time I tried to grow I was in a dorm room and used that method. Got away with it for vegging some stuff, moved out at the end of the year and had to flower my girls at my new place no more cardboard box. It's a fire hazard no matter what lights you use. It's not durable. Hard to mount several lights to flimsy cardboard. Go with rubbermaid tubs. Better all around to work with.
