Thanks guys....:joint: Lets light one and relax, i'm on a mild vacation for a few weeks i guess. Relax and enjoy my harvest a bit...:hump:!

I'll be back here again to post final dry weights and all, then i'll be making the new journal a little early, so keep checking back for me to post the link.

Thanks BORN, BEECH, BONEMAN, JIG,TOM420,SMOKE&COKE, and the rest of ya' that were along for the ride.

Hey thanks Tom, Dont know if i posted the wet weight or not, but my WW came in at 71.4 g wet, from two plants, each had two stalks.
PPP came in at 124.7 g wet, from 4 SOG style plants. I think its time for a full run with hempy PPP SOG Grow........i gotta get some time this week and i'll do up the new journal........

...Also, saw this RW syringe for sale, What exactly do you use this for? Anybody know?

Hey Fire,

Thats used to measure nutrient solution or just to water your plants. I have a couple of those. The dam numbers on the sides wear off so if you get one try not to get it wet on the sides.

From my experiences I get about 25% of wet weight.

If you start a new journal be sure to post a link here.
Thanks man.

Ok guys so we are like 4 or 5 days in jars so far, so i figured i'd weigh it quick, but i know it will still go down, anyway.....

4 colas of PPP gave me 22.1 g up to this point
4 colas of WW gave me 14.4 g up to this point.

I think I'm gonna stop weighing it wet......LOL!!!:peace:

Thanks man, no way could i smoke this all already. One or two rips from the bong puts me right where i need to be!:hump:

That bud was 3.5 g by itself!!! It is hard as a rock, definatly my favorite cola so far. Hope the next journal shows bigger, fatter, longer colas:shock:!

Well, i think i have no idea where you would be starting from, but it would take you a good drive to reach me!LOL!!
See ya in the next one Jig!

Perfectly manicured.. You should look into an hps or two to throw in the mix.. Your yields will improve.. Just hit the phonebook for electrical/lighting outfitters.. Cheap bulbs are fine too, especially since you have real MH..

Born,
Great idea and I would love to do it, but the guy who pays the bill says no more lights..lol!

I only have a 250 HPS in my mom box with CFL's, was thinking of eliminating the HPS to throw with the MH, and fill in the mom box with all CFL's.

That might slow down clone production though, you think?

So take out an MH and let it sit there as a backup, replace it with equal wattage hps.. Remember that 275W HPS packs about the same amount of photosynthetic punch as 400W MH..

cfls are fine for mothers too, if you have any hps that should be above your buds..
Well if thats true, than i have the equivalence of a 400 watt MH above my moms, with CFL's.

I always heard that HPS run hotter than MH, any thoughts oon that? My temps are like right on the border of too hot, and its only may. I know I need to get some A/C ran to it from the furnace, soon i will.

A bit perhaps, more photons bombarding surfaces, so more molecules end up bouncing around.. Up the humidity to fight temps until near harvest when mold is a threat..
Did you know that most of the reactions involved in photosynthesis peak at around 110°F, but the plants lose too much water because they transpire it through the same stoma they exchange gases with..
How many cubic feet is your room and what kind of exhaust power you got?? Proper ventilation will take you further than AC unless you dedicate a ton of btus..

wow, never knew that born. 110 degrees ya' say? So i guess me running in the mid to high 80's isn't as bad as i thought. My room is about 75 square feet, got a 6 inch inline, pulling air from the top to exhaust out, and a 6 inch hole with a register cover(to hide light) with no fan on it. I was considering adding a fan to the intake, to see if it would help before running A/C ducts to it, but if i had to, the furnace is only about 10 feet from the room...:hump:

My real problem i think is that the air leaving the room is only going right outside the door, and in my opinion is being partially pulled right back in through the intake. Once i get out of this damn concrete dungeon i'm in, i can properly run in-line fans to roof vents, with odor under control of course. Actually, would you need to use odor control if you exhausted above the rooftops? I would think the fumes vented out from indoor plumbing that go out the roof, do this to put the odor above the wind current and houses. I woder if i tapped into the same vent line to exhaust my room, would you smell the plants? You don't smell someone using the bathroom while you walk past on the sidewalk...

Any ideas?

Thanks for subscribing, this one is pretty much over with. but feel free to read through and post any comments or questions. Check out the current grow in my sig. after your done here. not much happening over there yet, but soon!:hump: This is a long one, but lots of pics to look at!!LOL!! maybe this :joint: will help.....enjoy!

Odour control need depends.. Its best to be prepared, but its funny when it is/isn't needed sometimes.. Be careful though, sometimes odour just ends up where you don't expect it to be, and you definately want to be the one who finds any odour.. Roof exhaust is pretty ideal though, and some older houses do have that stink pipe that goes right down to the basement.. With roof exhaust though you can't underestimate the back-pressure created by the climb.. You need alot more cfm..
I'm not saying you want 110F at all, I just mentioned that since its an interesting fact tied to notion that humidity helps combat higher temps, but that increased water loss with gas exchange trumps the increased reaction rates I mentioned..
Passive intake is fine.. You can increase your intake rate by increasing your exhaust rate.. How many cfm is that fan rated for, and how long/straight is any ducting if its attached to any?
Hot air rises, so you probably aren't sucking it back in from below, but it is possible that you're exhausting cool air as soon as you suck it in (which leaves more hot air in the room), if I'm picturing things right.. It really is best to have intake low on the opposite side of the room from the exhaust.. On that note, a circulating fan near that intake, or an active intake might help get more of that cool air deeper into the room.. Not exactly proper HVAC protocol, but worth checking..
Also, if you do end up adding active intake, ducting it to the opposite side of the room would get the air over there, so its not pulled right up to the exhaust..

I would say at least 2 inlines the size of whatever piping its going into, maybe more. I would probably want to go ahead and install some sort of odor control though. I'm thinking of an ozone generator. A buddy i know just got one for $180.00, cleared out the stench from a fridge full of rotten meat in 1 hour. smelled like right after a thunderstorm. Sounds worth it to me!!lol:hump:

I found in my room, in the winter time, i could control the humidity great by adjusting the thermostat on the heater. a five degree adjustment higher drops the Relative Humidity 10-15% in about 5 minutes. Summer time is a different story.......im going to need a dehumidfier!!!

Im not sure on the fan at the moment, i know its not near enough for the room size, it is a 6 inch though. It goes like this ......dryer vent through door, elbow up,fan on end. Now remember born i'm surrounded by 8 inches of concrete all around me, except that wooden door....:hump:......only way to exhaust or intake is through that door. I put the active exhaust up high on the door, and a register cover over the hole i cut with a sawzall. escaping light isn't an issue cuz like i said i'm kind of in a tomb..LOL I would say im taking the air back out as it comes in. Sounds like i can really only add the inline to the intake and hope for the best......:joint:
