i read you get a lower yeild with a longer flush, but using the gravity you think that more than balances out the weight you could loose?

i know weight isn't always a primary concern, i'm just wondering.

I dont see how, once the buds put on weight and density from the MAturing, and the help of the G and molasses, they swell up nice, and haven't noticed any loss in flushing for three weeks. Flushing just removes the nutrients from the plant, primarily the nitrogen which will give it the harsh taste and smell after drying. IMO more flush = better taste.

Hey Fire,

Good to hear ya got the buzz you were looking for. Sometimes when it comes out a little harsh I put it in a jar for a few days, maybe a week and then back in the bag.

enjoy.

Hey cruzer,
Thanks for stopping by man!
I think the harshness was from being a retard dwarf, but also from not being cured really at all. It was fresh out the paper bag, then into my bowl. No cure makes a harsh taste....

What's up with you, using miracle gro is also fine, but i would suggest in the future that you use ocean's forest....miracle is good, but it cakes up when exposed to water, making the soil clumped up. I journaled the results using miracle gro and ocean's forest and found that with miracle gro, i had to do alot more soil fluffing and/or turning(cultivating) to produce more oxygen for the rooting system. Just make sure, that if your miracle gro soil is clumpy after you water, then your roots know it and don't like it(it also make them more subseptible to root rot), so you will need to turn the soil over regularly to allow the roots to get more oxygen. You can also add some worms to the soil and they will work for you 24/7. Peace.........
thanks man, i believe we have the same lights, i believe the 125 watt equivalent is what i have also. But thanks again, i will be getting more lights for the future.:weed:

Yea MG soil sucks.. But with todays economy its tough to get another mortage to finance a Fox-Farm's soil purchase.. There are resonablt priced options that do just as well if you're willing to put the effort into production..

I personally would go with some high power LEDs for that small cabinet, like a UFO or high power LED panel.
Hey lilmafia, I think this may be your problem, you might be able to grow some good bud now if you get some led's.

??

how are your trichs when you cut, do you cut at different times... ie. mostly cloudy, mostly amber, etc?

WOW...two people in one day that read the first page of my journal and added comments. Hey guys check out the last 100 and some pages, you'll notice alot has changed since then, and also only used MG soil one time, and will never buy LED's.
IMO LEDS have not been shown to do anything much past a few weeks of veg. Why would i buy a LED to replace the 3 400 watt Metal Halides i already have hooked up and running. Also MG is not a good subsitute for the soil i pre mix and add Bone meal, blood meal, Oxycal, and other goodies to.
TIP OF THE DAY:
Read the whole journal before posting useless comments in a journal you never read, and never plan on reading. Boost your post count elsewhere please!:hump:

Nope, LEDS are for the newbies that believe LEDS are the wave of the future. They can buy the LEDS if they want, but in a month, i'll sell them my old MH kits after they realize they wasted their money!!
Check out POTPIMPS grow journal. He did a grow with LEDS, and there wasn't a significant change in growth, or anything. Just the same ol' plants that grew under a MH or HPS bulb.
I like my trichs at a good mix of cloudy and Amber. I really watch the calyx swell and the foxtails build to determine harvest. But i do pay attention to the trichs as well.

True indeed, but there are other things you can do to make miracle gro soil richer.........that's what i am all about. Inexpensive remedies that will work based off of scientific fact. Miracle gro needs a medium, to keep it from clumping up.....we know clumpy soil takes away from the rooting system period(no oxygen, no expansion, etc.), any heated leaves, twigs, wood, added to miracle grow will enhance it's ability to aerate moisture. Go right outside and get a bunch of leaves, wood, straw, etc., etc., place it in front of a heater that puts out extreme levels of heat until the organics become dry as........h@ll, and afterwards, mix in with miracle gro. Do this continuously over a very long period of time(allowing the mulch to break completely down in the soil), and presto, you will have healthy, more than likely, high nitrogenious, soil........this is an expensive, totally organic way of making the base of your own soil as well.............

Oh, i meant to say it will, "create an inexpensive totally organic way for you to create the base of your soil's foundation", (a little typo up there). Yo, do the knowledge, "truth may come a little bit later for him, but not her", if you can feel me...........

WTF?? MG soil is time release fertilized (ionic salts, not organics) unless its their specific 'organic' mix that I'm not familiar with, and their salts don't play nicely with cannabis at all.. Go waaay back in this thread and see the problems it caused him.. Soil storage is also a big factor regarding availability levels of that time release crap..
My suggestion for a base soil is the cheapest one you can find that isn't really loamy.. The cheaper it is, the less likely it is to be treated with crap (not that crap is bad, but you should add craps yourself), and the more predictable the end product will be after its built up..

I take it upon myself to grow and journal down specific data documenting the different ways to grow marijuana.......I wouldn't say anything that I haven't actually conducted an experiment on. I currently have a plant growing out of a blend of Miracle Gro, and outside bull sh@t(her name is mystery hemp), everything that happens to one person will not happen to another. YOU actually can grow out of Miracle Gro and get a good harvest. The only negative I've personally experianced with MG, was the clumpyness when watered, not the slow realease fertilizers.......if it's heavy in salts(the soil), that means, un-salt it, by saturating the soil, which means you may need to adjust the climate of your grow room a little bit to assists the plants in evaporating the moisture from the soil to prevent fungus and root rot, and etc. but, it's not my intentions to argue the facts, I know the professional ways of doing things and the unprofessional. My desire, is to help those who just simply cannot afford, to purchase all types of sh#t period. There are tons of ways to successfully grow marijuana, remember it grew unassisted by humans for decades before we knew to use it for anything.........huh???

Time release isn't the same as supersaturated salt build up.. Water makes it stronger until it wears out.. Its a craps shoot, although I've never seen it pan out well in the long term for dope.. You don't know how depleted those are when you buy it, it depends on age/storage both before and after it reaches your hands.. Sure once you've drained the mystery crap out it basic soil, but until then its dangerous.. Better idea is to just buy the cheaper soil that doesn't have crap in it to begin with.. Why buy the more expensive stuff then spend a bunch of time turning it into cheaper stuff that by your own admission tends to pack too densely??

Hey ol' man, take this shit to your own thread you have been in mine for two days now. No one here uses that MG bullshit, so theres no point discussing it in my journal. Do it in your own if you have one.
If you would like to add usefull knowledge pertaining to MY grow and technique...please feel free after you read the WHOLE THING. If not move on to boost your post count elsewhere.
Thank you!:bigjoint:
