My bodhi dilemma

Hi RIU,

the last 2 years or so i got sucked into this bodhi thing and when i opened the seed box today i realized that there are now 15 bags with golden stickers. That was a stupid thing to do in a way because we won't be able to select and keep a mother, grow males or make seeds. All we can do is grow a few plants, take the males out and take a few clones in case it's something special.
So here's my question: Would you grow 2 seeds from each bag or 2 or 3 complete bags at a time? At the moment we think it may be a better idea to do 2 or 3 of each bag because we wouldn't use them all up and could keep a few for another time. On the other hand, growing a whole bag would give a better picture and we could find the best plant and keep it alive for a while.
The only one i am sure about is the Apollo 11 genius F3. This one i want to keep alive as long as possible. Grow one at a time, flower a clone and keep if it's female. Just can't do this at any time because of limited space and heat problems in the summer.

How do you keep your seeds by the way? Ours are in the original bags and they are in a metal box but not in a fridge.

Thanks!

LOL @ 'sucked into this Bodhi thing'. I was on the cusp, but after 4 various full packs [one free], switched to 3 or 5 singles of 3 others, and quit there. :)

I keep the beans in tins that attitude sent, and in the 'fridge. I'd grow a couple of each at a time, because I prefer lots of variety.

If I had 15 packs to get thru I would germ whole packs and be real scrutious in what you consider a keeper and mlve to the next. Finally have a diverse Nd well stocked enough seed stash to start doing thus myself.

You should def start a journal when you pop that apollo tho cus that should b something to see. Mind if I ask what all of his you have? Might help give feedback on what ya should do.

We've germ'd 2 of the Apollos and both were identical girls. We kept both for a while and grew about 20 clones. They cloned very easy and we tried to keep them small so they only had about 3 weeks from rooted clone, then 12/12. Plagron Batmix was used in 3gal containers. The leaves started yellowing very soon abut it didn't seem to affect the flowers at all. Great flower-to-leave ratio, trimming takes minutes. They looked ready after just over 7 weeks and were harvested after 8.
I must say it is not a super strong smoke but perfect for daytime or any time you want to actually achieve something. But that doesn't mean you can't get completely wasted on Apollo11. It just feels like a waste, get some couch lock indica for that.
Very sweet pineapple smell which doesn't come out in the jar so much but when you crumble it up. The yield was great and almost every bud went into the jar. Other plants produce 60 or 70% really nice buds, the rest goes in the bubble bag. Apollo grows in a way that the lower buds still get a lot of light. There aren't too many fan leaves and they are slim-fingered anyway.
Altogether one of the best buds i ever had in my jar. Some sativas with this uplifting kind of high are nice but they sometimes make me feel like something's missing. Apollo 11 ticks all the boxes for me.

There are a few OG18 on the left in the 2nd picture, the rest are Apollo 11.

Oh man I'd love Apollo.

That's a nice list.
In seedling now I've got 2 lemon zinger, 2 pagoda and 2 Ancient OG. Once these reach maturity, I'll be popping the testers

You should do an open pollination of those A13's. Would be more valuable than a crop of the buds for sure. JMO.

I know I'd be interested in them.
You love an open pollination, don't you? If i had the space and the ability to grow all year i would love to do this but unfortunately i can't. All i can do with a male is either cut it down or put it in a friend's garden to collect some pollen. I know that the Apollos are rare and it would be worth preserving them. They are F3 and both plants were exactly the same so i don't think there will be many phenos.
I hope Bodhi makes them available again. Next time growers will be prepared and more will be able to work with the strain.

Has anybody compared Pagoda and Apollo 11? I think Pagoda is an F1 and should have more phenos.

Just popped some more pagoda. Had males and lost a female somewhere in the labeling process. I'm excited. I think bodhi still has plans for that line

fun thing to do when you have too many seeds. trade them for other seeds you wont ever get too...

that tigers milk though!
The tigers milk is awesome! I've seen a single plant. It is very similar to Jabba's stash. I have never seen Bubba Kush but it is the mother of both Jabba's stash and Tigers milk. Stinky oily sticky stuff you need a grinder for.

Bubba kuah isn't the mother of tigers milk, it's the same mother as Goji, Nepali OG.

Just clarifying is all

<beating a dead horse>. Nepali OG is the mother of mother's milk, the Bubba is the mother of both Jabba's Stash and Tiger's Milk. Its the same bubba that was used to make the bubbashine (with DJ Short's Blue Moonshine) that is the mother in the Sunshine Daydream and Blue Tara.

As far as the OP goes, I don't think you could go wrong with anything on that list.
I've never seen a super silver strawberry lotus run, though, just heard people have those beans.
I've seen everything else on there run and it all has looked awesome.

I keep my beans in bags in a box with silica in the fridge. Everything always germs fine, I usually pull them out the day before I plan on germing them.
