Ethylene is used to hasten fruit ripening, so it might help your buds reach their prime faster. I say its worth a shot to do both the banana peel with the seeds and then whole bananas with the plants. Hip hip hooray for bananas! I really hope they don't go extinct...

oh i see your nanas, when do you change them out i guess is what i should ask?

just from reading the first post about saying if you get 5 females bc of the banana does not mean that the banana is the culprit, too small of a sample size. 5 plants growing is not enough of an experiment to assume that's why they are females.

I went 12/12 with bagseed in an 8x4 tent with coco/perlite D2W hyddro, GH trio nutes (I know stfu) CFL/MH...thought it was a fucking miracle...my partner left peels all in the tent.

Its proven that decaying bananas produce ethylene, its proven that ethylene tells a plant it should decide to be female...

Its proven that the sex of the plant isn't determined until around week 3. Even with "feminized" seeds you can still produce a male if the conditions are shitty enough.

The science is there and my personal experience is there. I'm using fuckin' banana peels and any other organic mat that produces ethylene.
