My 2017 Strain Selection Begins

So with my first grow season under my belt, I learned a lot and owe a lot of my success to everyone on this forums for their info and support. My biggest lesson that I learned is I need to find a few solid early finishing strains for next year. Growing up in the 45th latitude in the NE, This rainy/cold weather in October needs to be avoided as much as possible next year. So after a few days of reading and searching for good strains, I chose the following strains. I was wondering if anyone has ran any of these outdoors and what their experience was... good and bad, especially interested in harvest time. The list currently is in order of my current rankings of them, I want to choose the top 4-5 strains for next year.
The main criteria I was considering when searching was:
1) Harvest time in September
2) Female only seeds preferred
3) Outdoor friendly- mold resistant- strong growers
4) I prefer hybrid or sativa dom. but understand this unlikely with a before October harvest goal.

I have the same issue as you, shitty weather towards the end of the season.
I'd recommend c-99 by female seeds, black dog by Humboldt and green crack by humboldt. All 7 week strains with proven track records as far as i can tell. Especially the c-99.
Never ran any of the ones you've listened, sorry.
Oh, and all of those are Sativa dom minus the black dog.

have you ran any of those before? or just from reading.
I was thinking of adding a c-99 to my list, also heard any texada timewarp would be good (the genetics are so expensive though).

Anyone have experience with the purple maroc? I keep coming across some concerning reviews of super early flowering.

Plenty of good growers just finished running it in the states. Rubyfruit is running the black dog this year in Aus. I was going too but shit happens. C-99 by female seeds has entire thread dedicated to it.

All those strains are solid and prices are low.

From My Experience, the Pineapple Chunk From Barneys Performs Very well Outdoors. Good Mold Resistance,Grow Vigorously And A Big and Yielder. According To Them It's Supposed To Finish Late Sept. But They should Go Until Oct. Imo. But It's A Good Tuff Outdoor plant.

I'll add them to my list. I think I'll end up going with more expensive and proven strains like the ones you recommended because the more I read about the cheaper seeds I have listed, its a mixed bag of reviews. I'd rather spend the money on proven genetics so it's not a waste with the time, space, and money when it comes to actually growing them

Wonder woman by nirvana is a proven yielder but will take 9-10 weeks
Pineapple chunk by barneys will be a winner for you its my top shelf strain this year im smoking on
Incredible bulk went 8 weeks indoor for me

I had a good experience with incredible bulk not so much on Early pearl had low germ rate and didn't flower that fast either

Thanks for the input. I'm finding how irrelevant/misleading some of the strain reviews and info given by the companies is on the strains. I'm bumping The C99 as a for-sure next year and luckily midweek or seedsman has a promo for freebie pineapple chunk =)

I've noticed incredible bulk has quite the following. must be something there that keeps people on it. I just felt like the advertising/marketing of it was a little much for me and was suspicious

I would run incredible bulk again. Haha I'm always looking for early strains I was pretty bummed about early pearl. Sensi seeds afghani #1didnt have good germ rates either but the female that went through is looking like good smoke and overall plant was pretty tough

I grew out a dinafem cheese and it was ready right about now in the 45th latitude. It was a fricken monster and one heck of a tough plant. I was thinking of trying their critical 2.0+. I've heard mixed reviews about early pearl so I was staying away from it.

I just ordered some cindy 99 from brothers grimm. Alot of hype behind c99.

Just got em all down and I'm already ready for spring haha but picking out new beans for upcoming season is always fun

Id recommend not doing the blue cheese. I'm running it this year and mine still needs another 1-2 weeks and that's out in CO in the mountains where stuff starts flowering early. Blueberry headband is great, it finished mid September. & had absolutely no mold + dense purple nugs. Best of luck!
