Barking Mad, I have added another couple of pictures that should show a bit more amber trics. I can zoom in a lot more on my PC than I can show on a posted picture. I notice the change in the trics possibly more too because I look at them everyday and when I compare them to prior pics, it makes it more obvious too. I notice a light cola color in the round globes at the end of some of the trics. I think that it is important to look at these in natural light rather than the under the HPS orange light too. I don't think the camera captures the amber color as well as using a scope either.

As for my Endless Sky, the seed grower stated 42-47 days of flowering. I harvested them last Friday night which was day 57 of flowering, or 8 weeks plus 1 day. More on the harvest info next post.

Thanks for the comments and I think you grow looks fantastic. I will tell you that the early smoke results without any curing are very good.

Today is harvest time! Finally here.

Plants are getting that golden cast and the purple colors are more evident

Endless Sky - total harvest

Endless Sky harvest - zoomed

Endless Sky harvest - in the drying box

Northern Skunk - total harvest

Northern Skunk harvest - zoomed

Northern Skunk harvested bud - super zoomed

Skunkberry - total harvest - these are leaner, but longer buds

I am very pleased with the yields. I don't have a scale, but I would guess that I will end up with about 5 oz. dry. I have sampled the Endless Sky and would rate it maybe 7.5 out of 10. I sampled the Northern Skunk today and I would rate it about 8.5 out of 10. Definitely, this is much more potent pot than I have had in a very long time.

As of today, the harvest has been drying for 2 days. The buds from each plant are in thier own separate dry boxes. I have the dry boxes stacked in my flower chamber with the light out (duh!) and the fans and vent/carbon filter are running. This seems to be working very well and taking care of the odors.

In my veg chamber, I have 3 Northern Lights X Blueberry F1's about 30 days old. I also have what is left of my Endless Sky plant (About 6 lower fan leaves and a small amout of bud) reveging. I plan on keeping my recycled Endless Sky as a mother plant for another grow in the spring.

Northern Lights X Blueberry F1's about 30 days old. Harvest should be ready for Thanksgiving!

I will update in a few days to give more detailed smoke reports and show my nugs when I get them curing in jars.

:peace: and happy :bigjoint:

Good going Raul! You spent the extra time and did a great job! I'm looking forward to your tastes tests and the "stone" meter on all of your finished products. I'm curious about the northernskunk and how you like that compared to the skunkberry and also curious on your new grow, NLxblueberry... is that PEAK seeds? tks / moldy

Moldy, thanks for the comment. Yes, the NLxblueberry is PeakSeedsBC too. The little buggers are now 14" tall and ready for the flower cycle too.

Taste & stone test results coming right up.:weed:

Thanks Meathook and Caliboy for the nice comments.

I have been smoking this weed like crazy for about a month. All 3 strains have provided some really nice buzz. At times I have thought that 1 strain might seem stronger than the others, but this seems to vary depending on how much I smoke, how much I smoked the day before, time of day, what I am doing, etc. I guess by the time I get to the bottom of the 6th jar I may have figured out which strain is actually better.

All 3 strains have a different smell. The Endless Sky had the most amazing orange citrus smell as it was growing, but now that the buds are dry and have been curing in the jars for about a week, I think that I like the smell of the Northern Skunk the best (slight lemon and sweet mint smell). All 3 have a nice smooth taste and I really don't notice a difference in taste as I smoke. Curing longer may make the taste more pronounced.

All that I can say for sure is that this is much better than average weed and that my wife and I cannot seem to finish a whole joint together because of the high potency--1/2 to 2/3 is about all that we can manage together. With average weed, I can normally smoke a whole joint myself. The high is energetic and creates a really nice silly happy mood. This seems to last a really long time too.

I filled 2 pint jars up per plant for a total of 6 pints. The pints of the Endless Sky and Northern Skunk had to be packed down pretty hard to get all of the nugs to fit in the jars. I have no way of knowing the total weight, but if I had to guess, I would say 6 oz total. The nugs are quite heavy and dense, but they may appear a bit fluffy in the pics because I did not want to remove the smaller fan leaves around the nugs since they were so loaded with trics too.

Here is what I have left as of today. I think there is enough here to last us at least a year.

Since I currently have 3 Northernberry plants 14" tall and ready to start flowering, I will just continue to update this journal with my progress over the next couple of months.

Next Spring, I would like to grow a Sativa strain for variety. As far as seeds left for future grows, I have: 14 Skunkberry, 8 Endless Sky, 8 Northern Skunk and 6 Northernberry.

Can't wait.
They are nice enough just to look at, I bet the smoke will be killer.
:weed:

Hey, what's up Barking? Thank you, yes, the smoke is killer and better than I expected. I see that you have some really amazing mature looking plants ready for harvest. Congratulations to you!!!

Here is my 2nd grow update. These 3 plants are Northern Lights X Blueberry from PeakSeedsBC.
They were vegged for 53 days and today is the first day of the 12x12 flower cycle.
Last night I switched from 400watt MH to 400 watt HPS.
They are about 20" tall. 1 Plant is already confirmed female.

This is a confirmed female.

You can see a preflower pistol in this photo.

Here is the same female after LST'ing her.

Raul...WOW! They look good! I'm a bit surprised they didn't show sex sooner?

And thanks for the taste/stone review of the last grow! I was wondering if you were going to use the "silly" word. That's how my Skunkberry makes me feel.

I started a new grow but left my PEAK seeds in the fridge. I'm trying a sativa for the first time but too busy to do a journal. I got the 5 freebee seeds from Nirvana three times so I figured I best be trying to grow it. It's Skunkman's Original Haze x skunk 1. I got blue cheese, belladonna, shiva x NL started too but they should be easy. The sativa (from what I've read) will be more of a challenge.

Again, your plants really look happy and healthy! Damn, Barkingmad's looked awesome too didn't they? Take care / moldy

Today is day 67 and day 16 of 12x12 flower cycle.

I ended up with one female and 2 males. The males were eliminated and now I just have the one fem. That is actually good since my recent harvest yielded so much. I can just focus on the one plant which I am LST'ing and I can give her the entire sweet spot under the light adjusted just right for her.

She is just starting to form about 10 small colas.

Moldy,
It sounds like you have a lot of new variety in your grow room. I want to grow a pure Sativa for my next grow in about 6 months. I will be curious to see how you do with yours. Maybe you can give me a few pointers. BTW, from my last grow, I now think that the Skunkberry is the most potent. The 2nd time we smoked it, it made my wife dizzy and kept her awake most of the night. I noticed that it made a slight tingling sensation somewhere near the base of my eyeballs. At least there are more body sensations that I don't seem to notice as much with the other 2 strains.

We still have been unable to smoke more than a small bowl or about half of a jay of any of the strains though. I should be getting my new Vapor Brothers vaporizor in today's mail. That should be interesting and give me something to report on if a few days.

Rope Smoker,
Thanks dude for the nice encouragement.

Hey Raul!

Thanks for the update on your harvest. Glad to hear you had a bumper crop and also thrilled that you like the SkunkBerry. I haven't heard a lot about the high so I'm glad I'm not a light weight! I can smoke a whole fatty but just cause I love the smoke as I quit the deadly ones 8-9 years ago. I do forget what I had for dinner most nights thou!! I think the SB is just an all around good strain for about anything. Funny your wife couldn't sleep but sometimes that happens to me... rarely!

My new grow got thinned down. Both haze plants are males but I'm keeping one to fert one of the blue cheeze girls so I can call it Cheezy blue haze. Ha! The belladonnas are real pretty too. The shiva x nl turned male too so just 4 plants to fuss over. Sorry I won't have any info on girl sativas but hopefully later this winter. I got some BC and Bella clones going too for later this winter. When I get back from vacation I'll send some pix as I'm packing now getting ready to split. Damn, I wish I would have started growing sooner. There are just sooooo many different strains I want to try and so little time.

I bought a vape and really like it but it's a cheap one and doesn't hold a lot of dope. It's good for an afternoon kicker to listen to pod casts etc. but I still need a hand rolled spliff at least once a day! My vape is that 150 dollar one, the Vape air. It works but it's not ideal but I like the buzz, it is different.
Good luck with your one plant, don't spoil it!! Moldy

Sorry to hear about the males! You've got one very good looking girl there tho!
Nerver tried one of those vaporizers, but would love to try it out!

Day 89; Day 36 of 12x12 flower cycle. Northern Lights X Blueberry cross.

It's been a while since my last update, but my girl is developing nicely. The LST seems to
have created more evenly sized colas (about a dozen).

I expect to have her curing in the jars by Thanksgiving, but I will not harvest early--I'm
gonna wait for 50% amber trichromes.

Tiping up the pot shows the underside of the main stem. The stem
is much thicker than normal due to the horizontal growth and the
additional support that the stem must provide.

Underside view of large fan leaf.

The red that is starting to show in these buds along with the
green leaves will definitely make this a nice holiday plant.

The late afternoon sunlight makes for a good time to
take pics and show the true colors (unlike the HPS light).

The buds and small fan leaves are starting to get frosty, sticky
and very aromatic!

Just counting the time left--should be 3-4 weeks to go.

Moldy and Rope Smoker, as always, I appreciate the feedback. Moldy, sorry about those male plants--4 plants is a very good number to work with though. Maybe we will be able to compare notes on the sativas next Spring.

I want to give some feedback on my Vapor Brothers Handsfree vaporizor:

First, I really like the fact that vaporizing completly eliminates any concerns that I previously had about smelling up: the house, myself or my clothes. I can be vaporizing in the house and nobody in the house can smell any pot odor. I have taken several draws at the beginning of a session and my wife standing on the other side of the kitchen could not even detect that I was doing it as there is no smell. This makes me much more comfortable about any unexpected visitors showing up at my door. Also, I don't feel that I have to scrub my hands and face, change clothes, use mouthwash, etc. before going out in public after vaporizing as I did when smoking. The spent weed in the vaporizor, smells faintly of popcorn and does not have that nasty lingering burnt smell that a roach has. I set my vaporizer on the kitchen counter when we are cooking and serving our happy hour drinks and it is very nice to take a few pulls and build a nice appetite for supper.

Second, the heath reasons for vaporizing verus smoking are very good. When vaporizing you are slowly toasting the herb to release the vapor and you are not combusting and releasing smoke, tar or carcinogens into your lungs as you do when smoking. You do not burn your throat, choke, and cough uncontrollably either. Since there is no smoke, my eyes do not get red and give away the fact that I am stoned.

Next, Taste - Wow!!! You get that mild fresh minty taste of your herb exactly like you enjoy smelling when you smell your living buds. The fresh, natural flavor without the charred ash flavor overpowering the plant is most enjoyable. Since the taste is so good, I have a slight problem of not wanting to stop and doing too much.

Last, it is a more efficient use of your herb. When you smoke, a lot of vapor goes out the end of the burning joint, pipe etc. With the vaporizor, it stays in the vaporizor until you draw it out. Nothing is wasted. To me the high is great - light headed, silly, body stone. I can smoke more because the vaporizor is more relazing an does not burn my throat and choke me up. I can walk away from the vaporizor for an hour or 2 and it is still as ready to go as when I took my last hit. You can't walk away from a joint and come back later without re-lighting it.

I can't think of any downside except the cost. Mine cost about $160 for the handsfree model. I can't imagine how a more expensive model could work any better. Its a great value in my opinion. I do understand that my model works best for 1 or 2 people using it at once. For larger groups, the much more expensive Volcano with the party bag is better.

I have been very pleased with the performace of my vaporizer from the first time I used it about a month ago. The first several times I used it, I over-did it a bit and I felt fuzzy headed the next day. I have now learned to slow down a bit and not suck on it continually and I don't have that problem anymore.

My wife takes faster shorter breaths than me and did not get very high the first few times that she tried it. She made the comment that she wanted to try the pipe next time to get more of a high (yuck). I fixed her up though the next time after that comment. I turned up the heat on the vaporizer a bit and a thicker cloud of vapor was much more obvious when she inhaled. After the 2nd draw she was too stoned, dizzy and spinning for the rest of the night. She now has a new respect for the vaporizer. Apparently, everyone needs a slightly different heat setting to maximize the vapor depending on how fast and long they draw.

Hey Raul! I found you! I'd lost track due to some perplexing issues but I'm back. Wow! I like your review of your vape! I spent $160 for that VapeAir and it's not that great. The container or burn chamber is small, can't get more than 1/3 of a gram in there. I have trouble with the temp setting as if I get it too high the "matter" combusts at around 400F. I have to keep the setting on about 370 F and then sometimes I don't get a good buzz out of it. When it does work though I sure like!:weed:
It looks like you picked a good vape machine. Wish I would have gotten one like yours. Do you have a new thread on your grow or are you laying low? Thanks/Moldy
