Hey All.... I've got the urge to share some photos of my nl#5/haze girl in her 8th week of flowering....I think I have a few more weeks to wait until she's ready.....the fan leaves are starting to die off....does she look like she might need any thing..?......its hard to be patient but its exciting watching her grow......I think her buds are just starting to fill out

Maybe a flush 2 see if that helps darken ur trichs ....

Looking really nice....are u in soil or hydro?.... I can tell u by experience in hydro around week 10 flushed 2 weeks prior....

Hope that helps

she is in soil.... all the info I have read on the nl#5/haze has said that they take forever to finish.....I'm looking forward to when her buds start to swell.... :^D

oh yeah...I vegged her under LED's......and she is flowering under a 400w hps .....she is so big ,,I have to tie her branches down so they don't get burnt...that is what is browning the fan leaves I think...I have a constant fan on her as well.....:weed:

Yea im in hydro but with this strain im looking at 10 weeks, soil slows everything down a bit but some haze strains can take up to 13 weeks, the nl5 cross will get u alot closer tho, wait for ur trichs to start turning amber then harvest and hold onto ur seat.....! if u cant see the trichs upclose ur leaves will begin to get a reddish "haze on um " lol

Looks good, the leaves dying off like that could be phosphorus deficiency, although some can be tolerated with no detriment to the buds outcome. Its fairly common to one degree or another during flowering when the plant needs more of it than normal.

I've been feeding her extra phosphorus...maybe I need to give her a little more... I've grown Sativa's out doors and my intuition tells me about 4 more weeks..so I can give her some more flower food,,,before I flush

dont do anything drastic yet unless your sure its phosphorus. take a good snap shot of a representative fan leaf that isnt looking so hot and post it. it will be easier for people to diagnose this way.

I'll go and take a photo of her leaves now
here

a brown leaf

top of the plant..closest to the light

spotty leaf near bottom

lower leaves

when she was still in veg there was an invasion of the borg ((spidermites)) and after a couple of heavy duty pyrethrem treatments her leaves were slightly stained ,,whitish water marks all over them...when I was sure the invasion had been qwelled,, I washed them down gently with a soft damp cloth a few times..but they were never the same after that
I think its the heat from the light...its as high as I can get it above the plant and the fan is constant....I turned it up a noch....but maybe wind burn from the fan is drying them out more...??

can you keep a thermometer up towards the canopy of the plant to get an idea of what temperature it is? rule of thumb though, if the light doesnt burn your hand at that height, it wont burn your plants.

this site helped me to diagnose a slight magnesium deficiency.
Marijuana Plants Problems - Yellow Leaves, brown spots, nutrient shortage etc.

if i were you, id make sure it isnt a pH problem, cause that can mask itself as a bunch of other deficiencies which arent actually occuring. if your unsure if its pH problem, I would start there by flushing your plants with one to two times as much water as your pots can hold, using pH'd water (~pH 6). give it a few days and if the problem halts, you're good to go. if it keeps getting worse, you have a deficiency and can start trying to correct it

2day I flushed her with low ph water......and,,, I've hung another 400w HPS bulb, vertically next to her,,((about 1 1/2 -2 feet away))...as an interesting experiment.....does anyone think this might be a mistake..?? I saw it in the critical mass grow journal
