My 164 Watt CFL Grow

I'm thinking about 3/4 ounce off of the LST plant, and probably around the same for the topped one, maybe closer to an ounce. Although I'm convinced that if I wouldn't have had nutrient problems early in flower I would yield over an ounce a piece easy. Plus these plants both appear to be mostly sativa, and they're known for smaller yields. If you got some indica's you can probably expect even more. But take into account that many factors contribute to yield, I saw much more rapid bud formation when I started feeding organically, for example.

No odor with the Ion generator? Are you using carbon in conjunction with it? I would love to hear if it can clear the odor in a room so that the grow area would not have filters that would restrict airflow and clear the room of odor.

I am definitely thinking about getting one...does it kill all odor completely?

Well, you guys have to remember that I'm only flowering 2 plants right now. I run it on low though, so that makes me feel better about getting more plants going, I can always turn it up to high. But if you're flowering 6+ plants, I would recommend at least buying a unit designed for a larger area. It definitely works well though, I don't ever really smell them at all anymore. There is one thing I read though, if you circulate the air, like an open window, the things are basically ineffective. They won't generate enough negative ions, they have to be given the opportunity to reach a high enough concentration in the air to really be effective. To answer your question, no I don't use it with a carbon filter, thats the reason I chose this, carbon filter was too much work.

Now let's get back on track here, this thread is about my grow. I did a partial harvest of the LST plant yesterday, I checked the trichs on the largest cola, as well as some smaller buds that were looking ripe, and sure enough there was a good balance of cloudy/amber. I have them hang drying in my closet right now, I neglected to weigh them wet, because what the fuck does that weight count for anyway. Also, I started germing some seeds a few days back and I finally got one of them to pop, they were just bagseed from some dank sativa buds I bought over the weekend. I planted her in some soil, slapped on a humidity dome, and now I'm just waiting for her to show her face. I think I'll do a pic update tomorrow afternoon, stay tuned all.

For your veg cfls, what were the total amount of lumens. And what amount of Kelvins were the bulbs.

Same question for ur flowering cfls.

The veg 40 watts were 6000k I think, but the brand sucked, by the end of veg one was already flickering. I only used two of those with two 40 watt warm whites(2700k) during veg. Now I use two 40 watt warms whites(2700k) and two 42 watt warm whites(2700k). As for the lumens, I learned about halfway through this grow that lumens don't mean shit. If you spend too much time focusing on pesky details like that it just ends up confusing you. Useful light is what really matters, color spectrum is important, and I suppose lumens have to do with light penetration, but with training and topping we can eliminate the light drop off problem of any bulb.

Added: sorry I forgot to mention, I'll still tell you their lumen ratings, I'll check it out when I water today.

Okay so I forgot to check the lumens, and now its dark time, so ill have to check tomorrow. I do have something to show you though, this is one of the top buds that was harvested. I had to cut a chunk off of the bottom so it would fit in my mason jar, but its still big. It was 6 grams dry and after I cut the chunk off its down to 4.2 grams. I like the way these buds look, they have those spindly bract' growths, which are just covered in crystals. It looks kind of fluffy, but thats cause it hasned been cured yet, it'll compact itself during the cure.

wish I new my man, I dubbed it lemon star, because it has a prominent lemon citrus smell and taste, and because the tips of the floral clusters look like stars, as showcased in that second photo. I think there is some Thai in there, I think Thai is known for those spindly bract formations at the tips of the buds. There isn't many strains with lemon flavor, so I would guess maybe there is some Citral, SourDiesel, Trainwreck, Genius, or OG kush in there. Going by taste descriptions from the cannabible series, its probably part Citral, but Citral isn't known for its potency, and this shit gets me RIPPED. Completely clear and functional, yet one of the strongest high's I've ever experienced.

For those of you still following this thread, I have opened up a new one in honor of my new babies. I'll post a link below, I won't be updating this one anymore, its too hard to keep up with two. I will give harvest updates of the plants that are still going so don't yell at me. Anyway this time around will be more interesting anyway. Here it is:
