Prologue:

My Seeds Came in from http://www.amsterdammarijuanaseeds.com/ On January 3rd.

The Order Was for
10 Feminized White Widow
10 Carmalicious
20 Freebie Seeds With Order


I Started Germination On January 4th. I am using the paper towel method due to the good results I had with my first grow.

Germination:
Wet a paper towel put 2 seeds into the paper towel and folded it up to protect the seeds.

I put the Folded Paper Towel into a SOLO Plastic Cup with another Plastic Cup on the Top to keep it dark inside. Using a Reptile Heating pad under my Cups.

(The heating pad is on a Dimmer Switch to keep the temperature under control)

Notes:
So far..

On the 5th 1 White Widow seed had split and had a root popping out, so I moved it to a Rapid Rooter starter Plug.

Also Both Carmalicious Seeds Had poped and Were moved to Rapid Rooters.

Only 1 of the freebie Seeds Cracked so far and Was also moved to the Rapid Rooter.

The Other Freebie Seed Is still in the Moist Paper towel waiting for it to crack.
The Fem WhiteWidow However Had that browninsh Residue on the paper towel so I assume it will not grow. I Started another White Widow Seed in Another Seperate Cup / Paper towel.

My Goal is to have at least 2 Mother plants of Both the WW And carmalicious.

After Germination is complete on all seeds my vegetation area is all setup.

The Setup of my Vegitation Room:

40Gal Grey Sterilite tote From Walmart for my reservoir

a couple Huge Tote Covers to hold plants (can hold 8 plants Easily) 5" tall sides

I Put drains in the tote covers to be my tray. The drains go back to the reservoir.
Got a $10.00 Submersible pump to pump Nutrients to the plants.
Using 1/2" tube from pump to the tray, and 1/4" Spikes in the 1/2" Tube to goto each plant. Using 1/2 Gal/Hour Drippers for each plant.

My Rapid Rooters will go into a Plastic Pot with Hydroton, and will get a Dripper.

In my first grow I fed them for 30min once every 30min with 1.5hrs between feedings during dark hours.

They will be on a 18/6 Light cycle Under my 6x T12 light Fixtures each Fixture has 1x 4' 40watt 6500k and 1x 32watt 2300k Bulb.


After they Reach approx 12" in height I will move them to my Flowering area.

My crown jewl is my 1000watt HPS Light in a 6" easycool fixture.
I made the DIY Carbon Filter, However made it much Longer. From the Filter

I attached a 260cfm Duct Booster fan (From Home Depot Like $30.00). After that fan I have it Connected to one side of the light.

on the other side of the light it goes to another 260cfm Duct fan, then outside.

I am using 2x under bed storage totes as my Ebb/flood trays,

and 2 ebb/flood drain/fill kits from my hydro store. Using the Black and Yellow Totes from HomeDepot as my reservoir tank. 1/2" Fill Lines From pumps to tote, and 3/4" Drain tubes back to totes.

Both Setups are on $50.00 Shelving units from HD. I Cut the legs in the kit shorter for lower shelves to give my more growing height Due to Low Ceiling Clearance.

Also Have a Co2 tank With regulator running at feeding times

Both areas I am using Botinicare Nutes
Pro Grow in Veg area
Pro Bloom in Bloom area
And
Liquid Karma in Both areas

I am figuring on 4 weeks of vegetation and then 8-9 Weeks of flowering.

Currently there are still 7 bagseed plants from my first grow in the flowering area.
Must remember to Paint or Cover Somehow the Clear plastic on those totes to keep light out. That was a Big mistake I made there.


If anyone Has any Questions or would Like to make any Comments, Express Concerns, or Give advice I would be very thankful. I am a noob at this and just want this grow to go as well as Possible.

Moved a few seedlings to pots w/ hydroton yesterday setup with 1/2 gal/hour drippers. Just now realized I left the timer in the ON Position. So now it's back to timed 30min on / 30 min off
Gotta check the other seedlings today, see if they are ready to move to pots also. the PH In my flowering tank is a little high, but due for a change today anyhow. Buds are starting to form, getting excited even though we only have 2 females now, and likely 2 hermies.
gonna get big momma HUGE!!gonna have to LST it (I think thats the correct term for tying it down lol). Gonna try and get some bud pic's up soon, it's just hard to take pic's in the blooming area cause the light. Well back to work in "THE ROOM"

Okie, Gave up on White Widow Seed #2 It just wont crack... But White Widow #3 is now Vegging also.
Actually all my seeds are vegging now. only Failed Seed so far is one White Widow.

Thats ok Cause the WW are Feminized and Will be cloned and cloned and cloned...
The Carmalicious are not fem so after sexing ill clone the females if any or start over from seed.

Not Alot to update today exactly. Today was Nute Change Day, YAY!!! another week down,..
Running just 1 side now since i only have 4 plants left including that lil clone,. Maybe veg it again longer..
Gotta get my new babies on the same schedule as the Ladies I'm flowering for nutrient changes. Get it all done at once.. pump old nutes down and out, and new fresh water in. Oh I Should likely post this elsewhere for those who dont read this journal. BUT
My water supply is crappy city water high ppm and ph sux,. But I installed a Whole house Water filter with the $33.00 filters every 3 months and now my ph is rugularly 5.5 and ppm < 50.
Huge difference for me and I almost never have to adjust ph until almost the end of the week when its time to change nutes.

I have a whole house water filter as well, it really helps if your water quality sucks. Looks like you have a really nice setup

The filter is amazing, I just replaced it a few days ago and wow does it make a huge difference. Thanks for the feedback, hopefully my ladies like the setup alot and grow big and strong and make me alot of weed.

I'm gonna watch your grow, I'm sure you will have some great looking girls with that 1000w

Took a few new measurements, my Big momma is now 42" tall runner up is 36" then down to 27" and 18" but eh, Bagseed. I Did end up moving the clone of big momma back to veg. Figure be nice to have a Bagseed momma for some Fast but decent weed. Keep the carma and ww special.

Very cool- I started my grow on the 31st with the same seeds from same source. I didn't germ in papertowels- went directly into jiffy pots in hydroton. My set up in a cool cab with leds and one 23w cfl so far to keep temp up a bit. My 4 widows popped beautifully and arethriving- fems just like yours. Only two of 4 carms popped, and one is a straggler. I re germed for three days and seeded (in paper towels) after 10 days to try and get 4 carms. The freebies didnt do much in other 6 pots- only one popped andi ts weak. Reseeded those to see if they grow as well. Not sure the famous amsterdam 20 free are worth much.

My widows are beautifulk so far- hope the carms catch up- looking forward to tasting it in three months. I'm running 24 hr lights until week three and will go to 18/6 until they hit 14-16", taking clones as I can of the ladies. HAve rnd two seeds on way- diesel, tangerine dream, blueberry and a few others detailed in my journal. Fun being a new papa....

I wanted to get some tangerine dream from barneys but my wife said she dont like tangerine LOL, Blueberry I heard is hard to grow. I Def want some nyc diesel or sour diesel due to it's pain relief effects, or so i hear.

All my seeds just came in Thurs N Friday- only took 8-9 days from order- pretty good. Have a pic of all the packs in my journal. My carms are finally coming along- widows too. I hit them with too much light & nutes, but back on road to recovery. Just LSt them tonight- sidegrowth is all over just waiting for some light. Figure since I burned the lower leaves pretty good, it would be a good time to get lower branching jump started. Figure to do a multi flavor grow in MArch when this is reacy for harvest-plan on cloning as well if the carms are girls( please please)...

My Bagseed that is Flowering is all LSTed now so height measurement is a waste. Gotta wait for lights to be on to take a picture of it. But my blooming area is filling up fast, mostly of big momma.

Glad I got a Clone of that one.

Fixed my Digital Camera, so got some HD Photo's only at 9mp cause they are easier to take with the high light levels..

Reservoir Change yesterday. (every Sunday)

They have def. Blown up now, keeping the light right at their tops keeping them kinda short. I know with my first grow with the bagseed keeping the lights a few inches higher caused a bit of stretch. So this time I'm trying to get them more bushy get clones faster maybe..

Been so Busy lately been trolling a little looking for info, The Ladies are HUGE now!! and their Clones are about 6-8" Tall and looking good. I have been trying to get my Blooming area reset after my last grow in there for over a week now. Turns out I got about 4-5oz. off of "Big-Momma" (bagseed) So I am very excited to see what REAL genetics can do. I gotta get to my grow room today and re-check my temps. I believe the issues I was having with my previous bloom with the yellowing leaves was because of heat. I now have brand new temp/humidity gauges in each area. I have been running the room for almost 2 days now also with increased vent size 4" -> 6" and I am gonna try and get to the hydro store today and buy a better inline fan. My Dual 180 CFM inline duct booster fans are not pushing/pulling enough air. Gonna top my freebies I got from amsterdamseeds and get them to blooming area today as well as 9 WW Clones (6 from momma1 3 from momma2) and 6 Carmalicious Clones (3 off of each mother) I'll try and pop on some pics a little later today. Got huge changes coming Soon too, maybe saying goodbye to my fleet of T12 Floro's and hello to a nice 400w HPS/MH Fixture, Gonna go MH for veg or HPS w/Blue Spectrum and a new 1000w HPS Bulb w/Blue Spectrum also.
