Mutated Plant? What to do with it? Pics

I have a plant that looks really fuckin weird. The leaves aren't formed right and isn't really growing in height, just getting really bushy and leaves are bunching up. Anyone seen something like this? Anyone ever grow it all the way out to see the result? This is an auto berry for M-S.nl

I had one that wouldnt grow taller from some old seed stock that eventually died. If it doesnt grow taller (not just a little slower but basically stops growing), I'd off it. The mutated leaves are not really much of an issue, many of them do that when they are young then grow out of it and I have had mutants become very good plants.

I have had this. Not positive, but its almost like the developing root system hits a pocket in the new medium that it doesn't like.

I found this, as I would buy soiless mix, then add stuff like worm castings and perlite and various stuff.

I would occassionally get a plant or two, that would do this, but only when young like your plant in the pic. I would grab the pot with both hands and flex/squeeze it, loosening the soil, semi breaking it up a bit. Leave plant in the pot, just loosen the soil in it.

A few days later, the plant would show a sign of some kind of new, normal growth. Of course it would be behind in stature of the others in the batch but often caught up (or close) during flowering.

My theory is the roots were packed too tight. Whether or not this was the case....dunno. But they all eventually came around.

Never had any plants do this when I ran hydro.....so draw a conclusion from that if you will too.

Also, try backing off on the watering as well. Too wet can make it stunt. Worse if done for too long, and early in a plants development.

Ok I tried squeezed the pot and all that to see if it'll do anything. It hasn't actually stunted though. It keeps growing leaves but it's just bunching all up and being weird. Half tempted to get it far from the light so it'll stretch..lol

looks light a nitrogen ocerdose, sometimes the leaves can go a really dark colour like yours also "bushy" plants can sometimes mean good things if it pulls through, cause it would have more nodes and more potential preflowers which means the more buds you could produce.

It does look a little darker then it is. I had my LED lights on when I took the picture. It's going to be interesting to see what this weird ass thing does.

Let it grow and see how it does. I'm sure it will be a learning experience no matter what. I have one mutant myself and am curious as to what it's going to do. Watch it end up being a male! LoL Good luck with yours and keep us posted.

Hi all. I know this thread is old but very relevant. My mate had 2 of these muntants.. the seeds were from GHSC. One was kalashnikova and the other was a Himalayan Gold. Both seeds popped fine. The mutations came after about a week of growth..both plants are fine now!! they really do grow out of it. I must say though GHSC are a good seed company, but they have some unstable genetics. ALWAYS CHECK ABOUT GENETICS AND PHENOTYPES OF SEEDS BEFORE YOU BUY THEM...Believe me it helps.. cause you will be dissapointed if the mutations are too prenounced to proceed with your grow.

Just my 2p.

ive grown a plant w/ mutation. it grew nicely. it did get me a few weird shaped buds though. it didnt effect the end product much in terms of yield or high but every mutation is different. some are small/no big deal mutations that go on to live out a healthy life. others get stunted and die.

since you came this far its worth at least seeing what it does in flowering. so keep vegging for now. if it stops growing completely off it.
