mushroom compost/AK48

105_0182.jpg105_0184.jpg105_0185.jpg105_0186.jpg105_0187.jpg105_0188.jpgso i planted the 4 ak48s you see plus 1 in my mushroom compost soil mix its only been 3days but they seem to be loving it....my question is do i have to feed them as often as i have been or will the compost act as a mild fertilizer?if i plant some clones in straight mushroom compost will it work?
any info will help

Well-Known Member
mushroom compost is known as SPENT mushroom media. not alotta nutriton left in it. it also holds too much water. i use it, but mix with other ingredients.

cool thx man i mixed it with my natural soil which can sustain growth on its own its just a little heavy...i added mushroom compost-
peat moss-
humus-
dolomite lime-
soil
and they seem to be doing good i just hope the lime stabilizes the mix so i dont have ph problems

ya i thought about it but i dont think it will be necessary since my natural soil has perlite in it plus it has a layer of rock at the bottom and i forgot to mention coco is in my mix also
