Multiple Seeds In Solo Cup Help!

What's Up RIU?

I've recently started my second grow, but this time I germinated my seeds right in my grow medium and soil. I used a Miracle Gro with perlite and micronutrients for the soil (70%). Then I used perlite on top (30%).

I wasn't sure how successful the sprouts were going to be, so I dumped two or three seeds in each cup. Now I have a couple of cups with multiple sprouts and I'm not really sure what to do. I don't want their root systems to get tangled, but I'd like to keep all the seedlings alive if possible.

My question is, what is my next step? Do I try to remove the extra seedling(s) and replant them in separate cups? Or should I let them go a little while and then replant when the root systems start growing? Or is it cool to let them keep growing and just transplant the whole thing when I move it to a larger pot?

Thanks in advance...I love this site!:peace:

your gonna wanna replant them into separate containers as soon as possible
I second that. Some folks say keep the strongest seedling and ditch the rest, but I wouldn't do that, just because a lot of the time the males will be the biggest and strongest.:peace:

OK, cool. Thanks so much for the help, very much appreciated. I kind of assumed that would be the response, it seems pretty logical. Any tips on how to extract a seedling, replant it, and not kill it?

I would use a spoon and try to scoop the root and all for each one. Basically as long as you are gentle and don't tear off the root, they should be fine - MJ is a pretty hardy plant.
