multiple problems

ok so ive got several plants about a foot and a half from a 400 wat mh and they are sitting in a 2 part happy frog one part perlite mix. i water every 4-5 days with distilled water and the temps are between 73-80 usually with about 40 percent rh. i also have a fan blowing while the lights are on. at first some of the leaves started to curl down and got a little droopy so i i thought overwatering and i cut back a bit. then i noticed that a couple leaves were also curling upwards and were cupping a little bit. about a week ago i seen some light green spots on the leaves that looked like the top layer of leaf was missing in patches. the patches look like they are slowly turning yellow and today i noticed a little bit of brown on the very edges of a few leaves...the plants are just over 3 weeks old and i havent used any nutes.

ok so... you feed plain water... thats good, but wat of the nutrients? distilled water is great when used instead of tap water, but you stil need nutrients. what your describing can be a lot of issues, probably nutrient deficiencies.

take some pics, and buy some nutes.

Sounds like they need a little nutrients. That kind of soil uselly has enough for three to 4 weeks. So i would add a little like 25%.But see what other people have to say to first.

I agree, time to start low-strength fertilizing.

Ya you need to start feeding them. I am agreeing with everyone.
I use an organic mix for my soil so it lasts longer before I have to start feeding if any at all. Some folkes don't agree with me but that's OK. We all have our own way of growing. Good luck next grow you might try organic?
Grandpa's 1949organic mix
1 big bag of fox farm ocean forest
2 4lb bags of worm castings
1 pound bone meal
1 pound blood meal
3 cups Epsom salts
2 cups of dolomite lime
2 bags of per-lite
Water well, mix well, let sit for at least 90 days(5 weeks in a rush).
I don't have to add any fertilizers for the grows. I use 11" square pots, slots up the sides and lots of holes in bottom. Some folks use smaller pots say there roots get bound

yea i thought that the happy frog would last longer cause its only been 3 weeks but i went ahead and gave them half strength nutes yesterday and they already seem to be doing a bit better.

let's see it.........a three-week-old plant eating itself? i'm skeptical. no Mg in distilled water. how is it being supplied?

happy frog is fortified so it shouldnt have needed nutes for a while but im adding nutes now at half strength and things are looking better

Doesn't distilled water have to buffered the same as RO? Otherwise how will it hold the nutes - then acidity takes over........

actually happy frog does have worm castings, the ocean forest just has fish, crab, shrimp and kelp meal added to it.
I just looked at the bags, and you're right.... I knew they were real similar, just couldn't remember the ingrediants.
