Multiple Heatings with Fresh Bud

So here's the thing: I can only acquire compressed butt weed where I'm at unless I want to pay hundreds for "dro," but the trichomes are obviously quite damaged from being compressed... so I can't make hash to then concoct ultra potent cannaoil. So my question is: is it practical to cook multiple helpings of bud into a small amount of oil by repeating the process over and over? Like this: heat 5 grams into 1/4 cup, strain and toss plant material, then heat more with fresh plant material, strain and toss, and so on, leaving the end result a potent little bit of oil.
Any tips or success stories? Thanks friends

I don't know about doing the multiple heatings Uncle, I have never done it. You might try dry icing it though and use that for your hash oil.

I don't think it matters if you do one soak with 12g or 4 soaks with 3g, or whatever, when the butter is saturated...

the point is to cook a large amount of bud into a small amount of oil. The ratio of bud and oil would be too offset if I did just one soaking, y'know? I couldn't fit 12g into under 1/4 cup (final product) if I tried it all at once.

Idk much about dry ice methods, I just have a hard time believing conventional methods would work with ultra damaged trichomes from the compression. I'm thinking multiple heatings should work as long as I don't fuck up the temperature. I guess I'll just have to try it and report back xP and thanks for replying btw. I'm interested in discussing dry ice and whatnot

Uhhh , you could add water to help fit more bud and probably make it taste better?
Not a good idea when using oils. They won't ever mix evenly at all and even the smallest amount of water will upset the process and make it crackle and bubble. And I can't use butter because ill be making cannacapsules and need a longer shelf life. :/ I pick unusual shit to make threads about

No problem UncleR :) i will help you when you are ready. Good luck with the multiple heatings. I am interested to see if it works.

It is possible with coconut oil, because it is a solid under 76f. But yes, it is a pain in da azzzz to completely separate. This would def not be good for canna caps, as any water left in the oil could dissolve your caps.
I def would not try this with the canola oil. It would also dissolve the caps.

Some other ideas, if you want to use canola/veg oil or somthing that won't solidify you can use a ziplock bag as a ghetto seperatory funnel , also if you coco oil is to watery maybe spread it in a thin layer on a plate to let some moisture evap, gl on ur extract
