Moving to Mendocino, please advise

Hello, I am seeking quality information. My wife was just diagnosed with very rapid onset Dercums disease, and has just lost her job, and been told she can no longer work in her chosen profession. So our income has went to zero in a two month time. And right after we just helped our last kid with ALL of our savings for tuition. Leaving us yet another middle class family in the US, that has been reduced to homelessness.

Now with that info in hand, we fell in love with the FT. Bragg / Mendocino area in 2001, while we were stationed there for work. We decided we would one day live there, and make it our home. But while trying to save and set this dream into action, the rug was pulled out with wife's disease.

So in a few weeks when our lease ends, we will be moving up there to quite literally live in the woods in a tent. We just have no options and no choice. This just until we can hopefully gain some small employment there, and move back up in the world. We are both MMJ patients with cards, and we truly NEED the herb for our pain, especially my wife's ! I have never grown, but will now have to of course.

SO my question is : Needing to desperately be able to work, I would like to work in some facet in the MJ industry .... small scale only ! I need to just make enough to take basic care of my wife and I, NOT get rich. Any advice on how a person could, or should go about trying to gain work in MMJ, please offer your advice. We really need help, and want to help ourselves ! Thanks

Thank you very much. We are just two old ( 45 ish ) fun loving hippies at heart, and always have been. We need to learn as much as possible, and hope to be able to learn from the new friends we will be meeting ! I can not begin to imagine starting this strange new journey of life, without friends to ease the shocking transition.

We want so badly to be able to give to our community, and be productive and friendly new neighbors .... there to stay. But we are ONLY asking for knowledge ... that is the key to us possibly being able to just support ourselves. I don't want to live in a tent forever. :-)

If its knowledge ur after, its right in front of your eyes.:-) I learned everything from this site and I think I know a good amount. Always room to learn more though. Start hitting the outdoor section and otganic section and read away. Look for those who have beautiful plants. They probably know what they are doing. Wish u well on ur journey and a speedy recovery for your wife.

I am empathetic for your own pain and that of your ill wife as mine is unbearable most of the time and it is difficult for me to even type at times.

If you really know NO ONE in the area my only suggestion is to be kind and use your common and street senses. It will be very difficult to gain anyone's trust especially if there is no one to vouch for you. Good luck and remember to be kind. There are a lot of hippies in NorCal.
Great advice ! Thank you. Gaining trust should not be too difficult, if I just be myself and pass around the first bowl ;-)

Update : We are now trying to find a school bus, or large RV that we can tray and trade our Tahoe and trailer for ! This would allow us a place to live, and transportation, until I could buy a small beater car. I just need to find one that can go to Texas and back, to get our worldly goods ;-)
