Moving to Maine soon...

Hey everyone, My parents are getting older and my wife and I are planning on moving to maine to help them out and put the grand babies closer to them.

I have a couple of questions I hope to get answered out there. I currently have my card for acute asthma (I vaporize in the mornings) in Washington State and I haven't found if I can get my card out there. Does anyone know someone that has their card for asthma (it was a pain to get here)

Also my Step-Mother is getting arthritis very badly, she can't even close her hands anymore and I would like to make a salve for her to use, is she eligible for a card? Just trying to get an idea of the laws out there before we make the move.

Thank you for your time

Asthma is not a qualifying condition. Chronic pain resulting from arthritis (or any other cause) is a qualifying condition. You could be a caregiver for your MiL but, unless you live in the same house/apartment, you would have to register with the state.
