MOULD/Bud Rot

OK I put my baby inside while it was raining, waiting for the end of the final two weeks of bud growth and amber trichs, and I had just done its final flush so the soil was very wet, and PH was 8.0, really high I know but I dont think that really mattered as it had used that water its whole life and grew beautifully.

When it was inside, the humidity shot up due to rain and there was no circulating air in the room. 3 days later I noticed white cobweb looking mould growing over some of the buds, and when inspected closer the inside of the bud had turned to goo and turned brown and disgusting. Lesson learnt.

Now I have harvested most of the plant, removing all the affected buds/colas and have them next to a dehumidifier drying out.

My question is, how will this affect the end product, will the mould eventually evaporate ? It does appear to be diminishing now that it is much drier. Is it OK to smoke buds affected by a bit of mould?
