As big tall wide and healthy for as many as you need. Ask that question exspect this answer. Need more info. How many you want? How big do you want to cut. And are you topping the mom? Shit like that.

If a plant has two branches you can take one and call it a mother if you want. A proper mother is pruned and shaped in order to produce copious amounts of identical side shoots.

i top early and often use that cutting for a clone and they turn out fine so if you only want 1 or 2 clones it only has to be a month old or even less sometimes.

this is all u need for the clones u want. probobly i mom will do, but for first class top and mid cuts might want to do 2 moms. 1 4 foot t-5, about 2 months of time i have in these 2 og kush moms. top it twice, once at week 3 of veg and the other just prune the tops 3 weeks latter.

so if i only have a little over a month before i need cuttings. I could just take 2-3 cuttings each from 30 females
