I cannot say without a doubt that this was the most odoriferous strain I have ever grown but it might have been the first indoor strain I grew that had a real stench to it so it tends to stand out in my memory.

Reeferman's

Humboldt Select
An F-1 cross of 2 select Humbolt varieties. Super stinky and great yielding, fairly bushy. Big Plants. 50% Sativa / 50% Indica.

Auto diesels are probably not even from real diesel genetics, sorry.
any proof to this, bc based on research after research and pic after pic and smoke report after smoke report, it seems the auto diesels stink and taste on the level of the original..Now they MAY not be as potent, but what auto strain is....

The original diesel came from a seed found in a pound of self pollinated chem/dog from colorado. There is no male version of the plant, any seeds must be from a cross at best, so basically if its from seed its not real diesel. Even to make a cross you would have to have access to an original diesel cutting, which I doubt your seed company did. I'm guessing your beans diesel genetics come from Somas version of Diesel, NYC Diesel(not the real diesel, but not bad either, its been described as more citrusy and indica based than the original).

thanks for clarifying that up! I appreciate your wisdom on the matter...I learn something everyday here, and thats what I am here for! You are exactly right on your assumptions, and I understand them completely. It is NYC diesel, and I should have stated that. However, u still caught me something! LOL Im still looking forward to my grow coming up, and the one finishing now! I expect they will take care of what I need them to do.

I am currently running a (CUSTOM) indica sativa ruderalis cross that was autoflowered and then bred with hindu kush. After this I only did selective breeding to get 2 different phenos, a lemon pine and a grapefruit type smell. Not the stankyest I ever grew but the smell is pervasive and makes the room smell TOTALY HEAVENLY! When cured it does smell less tho... Potency is off the charts....

Black Domina is very skunky and last time I harvested Sour Diesel I got paranoid about my neighbors. My whole block was flagged!

You can absolutely get sour d in seed form the same way that the infamous ounce of chem dog got seeds in it! Any experienced breeder with access to clone only elites can stress the cut until it grows some good ol nanners and self pollinates. Then you grow out those seeds and select males that have the right characteristcs and back cross and again and again until you start ta get fairly uniform and predictable results from each seed. Not an easy thing to accomplish but good breeders do it and some do it very well!
From what Ive heard Rez's Sour D is really damn close to the original cut and so is Reefermans. A lot of people that have good access to elite genetics dont want people to know this and try ta say that the bx's are not real genetics. They do this because if anyone can go buy their elite hard to find cut in seed form they wont be able ta charge you $500 a bag anymore!
Dont get me wrong, some of these back crosses are garbage. Everybody is a breeder these days so you gotta be careful but there are actually some backcrosses that end up being superior to the original cut. Chem Dog D, Sour D and OG Kush are all proof of this.
