Ron Paul doing well in CA? Are you sure about that?

I'm across the nation so I wouldn't know but my understanding was that CA was infamously a Dem supporting state.
i meant for the primaries. i think ron paul would win here over bachman and the rest. but once the actual election comes, obama would win CA probably

I do have a life beyond RIU, here is my answer......you are very naive about South Africa, most whites openly embraced equality as they had seen for years how blacks were treated, many took advantage of that, unfortunately they would have been Afrikaans whites, my mother is Afrikaans, my father English, so a lot of my family were Afrikaans and very willing to embrace racism and taking advantage, as a mature and informed individual these days I see that it was merely an attitude that was passed on from generation to generation in very simple folk. But this does not in any way paint a picture of whites as a whole in SA during apartheid, before apartheid there were whites mixing with blacks like all creeds had for 100 years looking back. Sofiatown in Joburg and District 6 in Cape Town is a good example. Google it and you will easily find the evidence of equality in white South Africans eyes. These days since 1994 the country still has racism but in pockets as you would expect to find in any other country in the world. But most people embrace each other, comedians mock each others creeds in good faith, people sit and socialise around a braai *BBQ to you guys, they share each others lives and is no different to America or any other country today. The only people who may feel hard done by by affirmative action are the government workers who got their cushy jobs mostly through referrals/friends whilst never really having the qualifications, the young black guy who worked harder than 95% of his peers to get to the interview gets the job over an unqualified individual, in this case a white person.

South africa was a country that was ruled by an iron fist by very extremist religious white people who were convinced that blacks were ungodly and it was gods will that the races live apart, of course we know this is simply fascist, racist extremist views that were unfortunately the views of the few in power backed by Anglo interests, if blacks who were working the mines making the Oppenheimers wealthy were to get more rights they would be demanding better working conditions, housing and wage increases...

Most of the people I knew and what I would describe as the average citizen went woth the flow of the river, try to go against it and you are in jail just as easily as the black man that protests apartheid, all eyes were on the black plight but never did anyone consider that regardless of skin colour if you second guessed the status quo you were dealt with severely, whites included. Everyone knew it was wrong how everyone other than whites were treated less than human, but what do you do if you attend an anti-apartheid rally and 3 days later your family and friends are filing a missing persons report, it was that bad, this is no exaggeration. Nobody fucked with the government or the police because they did not fuck around, every time I got bust for my drug activities I knew a beating was coming but also knew it was my ticket to mis trial. haha.

Anyway that advantage you speak of, it is in every country in the world, every new place I have been to I have seen it.

Also the ANC governemt is as corrupt as any White NP government, there only saving grace in my opinion is that their solidarity lays with the African Union first and the AngloAmerican contingent are treated with contempt when they have to do there business.

But considering the crime statistics and the senseless murdering of farmers away from eyes which are very much reverse racism hate crimes I feel on the whole that white South Africans have taken to equality much better than blacks have, some blacks are extremists themselves, look into the ANC youth league's newest leader, Julius Malema. he advocates youngsters going to farms and killing farmers and conviscating what is rightfully theirs, Africa! the land.

Is there anything else you would like to know about South Africa.....oh and what race I am is *none of your fucking business* remember that?? LOL.

Obama will win mainly due to the fact that the GOP field is so lacking.

You may all love Ron Paul, but theres a not a snowballs chance in hell that that guy is winning the GOP nomination.

The nom will either go to Romney or Perry, my opinion says Romney. As soon as Perry hits the national stage with a debate I think you'll see his popularity drop. All we have from him now are some "treasonous" gaffes, sound bytes, and word of mouth. People will hear him speak and debate and think Bush part II.

Either one will lose to Obama.
