Most effective method to "halt" a joint?

hi,

just wondering....

when i smoke i usually rasta half of it. try my best to put it out without damaging it because i;m going to light it again in a while.

what's the best way, i tend to "scrape" it on a hard surface to knock the ember off.

I generally just lightly tap the end on a hard surface.

I do the same and find the best way is to make sure your last few drags are hard so you have a nice glowing end, pinch just below and flick it off. I smoke on my doorstep so its easy, this could be a problem when indoors!! Works a treat, beter than scraping on walls anyhow.

i find myself being too gentle..... i realize after about 10 minutes after how gentle i'm being.

try to step it up a notch and i destroy it

I like to let them burn themselves out if they are slow burners. Otherwise I'll slightly damp the end.

i just chip it, basicly scrape it on the wall a couple of time

Push it lightly into a quarter, or peice of glass. provides a solid tip when your done, and is pretty clean.

good idea,

though if the millions of germs off the quarter jumped onto your spliff. it may not be so clean

LOl its gonna sound a bit bad but i usually put some saliva in my finger and then press it to the tip of the joint and it puts it out, make sure ur finger is got some saliva otherwise you will burn lol

dont roll such a fatty joint..... or finish it..thats my motto

put it out on your tongue. Everyone acts all scared like its gonna burn your tongue, but it really doesnt. Give it a try.

OK, I make sure its even ( no runs etc ) and wet my finger and then wet the burning tip of my J going around the entire tip evenely so not to make a run.. This way, the part you wet will act as a kind of "seal" to prevent any weed falling out between smokings. But I normally "pinch" off the hardedned ash on the tip before relighting.

well 35 years of free smoke and i say put it ashtray stil burning,i hate knocking head off,it says here ur wasting a hit or two by knocking head.its an opinion anyway.peace

A bucket of cold water (make sure its been stood for 24 hours) that usually puts em out for me, or if i doubt, call the fire brigade out, i pay council tax so they are at my disposal right?

Nah seriously i just lay it down to die out when its done toking it self

dont scrape the cherry out. thats just wastin. instead just bump it out on a surface. that will in turn create a sort of blockade for the weed so it doesnt fall out the open end

i just set tehm in the ashtray cherry down and they go out themselves.
