More stem = longer drying time ?

Iv just started to dry my second plant, my first one dried a bit too fast {3days}.
My first harvest, i took my two main colas and chopped each lower branches off and didnt leave much stem at the bulk of the bud on the main either.
So now im drying this bud and my cola is still all intact with a good thick bit of stem. If i leave this as whole will the bud take longer to dry as there is more stem meaning more moisture, ensuring a longer drying time?
Or is there not much differnece really in drying time when divided up or left as a whole?

Heres 2 pics, hang it as one whole.....wr1.jpg

Or chop at where the pointy end of the scissors meets the stem and hang the rest individually ?.....wr2.jpg

Also the humidity in my drybox is on average about 66%, has hit 70% a few times.
This is a bit to high right ? This is just one main cola, prob only be about 6g dry. So although there isnt alot of bud could i still be in danger of mold? Or do mold problems only really appear when drying large amounts ?

Thanks.

Yes, the stem will make the drying time a little longer.

But the slower the bud is dried the better.

So, I'd say that although the stem is making you wait, it is working in your favor in the long run.

Cool man. Thats what i thought. Does make sense and pretty simple really, but just i like to get things confirmed sometimes.

And on the mold subject ?

Thanks.
