Hey guys i really need some advice on if i should just grow 2-3big plants or grow 6little ones.. I have a 300w LED and a 450w LED. I think 6 is a bit too many so was wondering if i could grow 2-3big plants instead to get same yield any experience?? I have seen some people grow crazy 1plant grows.

Hey luciferi, I don't know who's LED panels you have but you'd be better off growing smaller plants just because most budget LED panels only have an effective growth area of anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 feet high depending on the quality of LEDs used and a few other variables. From what I've seen once you get past a certain height a LED grown MMJ plant will just lollipop itself from light starvation. Best to grow smaller plants with an even canopy, but it might be possible to do 2 larger ones with the 450w as the main panel and the 300w a side lighting. Still "450w" and "300w" need to be using some decent quality LEDs with tight beam angles to be effective when growing taller plants. Some smart training on a smaller size plant can yield some decent numbers and most LEDs out there really do better with smaller plants so if you want my opinion from a LED grower's perspective, do the smaller plants. Good Luck!

nice to know... I just got some good news and have got a donation of a 600w hps... I think i will use the 2 led panels for veg and and hps for flowering.. Do you think this is an ok plan?? My space is about 1.5mx2m and about 2.5m high... My other space isnt completely sealed off is this ok?? its just basically in a tight corner under the stairs...

heat will decide if HPS is the best...you need exhaust and circulation and to seal out bugs and dirt. I reccommend silica to help the plants deal with stress and build big branches. So far very good.

^^^A supplement. Works on helping stressed out MMJ plants deal with less than stellar environments and helps develop strong branches. Good stuff in the right circumstances.
