More Guns = More Safer

I vote we arm all the students, what could go wrong. The school would supply them and the students would store them in their locker when not in school. When at school they would open carry, problem solved.

No but likeley if a person is responsible enough to get training they are probably not a threat.

How many bangers go take a saftey course?

This is where non gun people dont realize guns are not a source of empowerment for the right people .

Only the wrong sort that shouldnt have them:)
I'm not a 'non-gun type' I'm a 'logic' type that actually owns guns and understands the complexities of the situation. Most of the time, you don't know the good guy from the bad guy until after the fact.

Your argument is illogical. The right people are empowered to defend themselves, until they become the wrong people, then they are empowered to attack.

I know you like to pretend anybody that has a comprehensive understankng of gun violence is anti-gun, but why don't you confront the point I was actually making with that statement that a rifle, especially an ar15, has nothing to do with home defense, yet many gun owners make that argument, use them for that purpose, and face major negative unintended consequences?

Try actually addressing my OP instead of nit picking to dismiss legitimate arguments so you can 'feel' right.

So how does a gun ban get rid of guns off the street?
They don't, shit for brains. But it cuts the flow of them off.

Each year, the police confiscate thousands of guns from criminals. The vast majority of them are destroyed. With all the guns already out there, it would take well over a decade before the guns started to dry up.

Legitimate owners wouldn't lose a thing. All that would happen is the flow of guns to those who shouldn't be able to get them would dry up little by little, making it harder and harder, and with that the number of shootings and deaths would go down.

It would take time, but eventually we would wind up like Canada - with primarily only responsible, sensible gun owners having firearms.

Canada actually has about as many gun owners per capita as we do. When's the last time you heard about a mass shooting in Canada?

Never.

Gun laws work. They do everywhwere on earth but here simply because we don't have any.

There will always be good vs bad in this world.

There will always be the need for just men with weapons to rid the world of the wicked .

Just the way it is .

Americans just have lost their stomach.

How would they become empowerd to attack ?

This is illogical to me.

As a person that used to be pretty heavy in martial arts i always felt bad if i hurt someone in training. Or beat a guy up on the street (i thought i was going to get in legal teouble cause i beat the shit outa a guy who attacked me )

Just like most mma fighters will try to talk you down before they choke you out cause they know they can :)

There is no way all the illegal guns off the street period .

Unless the cops just straight locked the citys down and searched everywhere.

Even then they would still be there

Sorry

To date, nobody has ever defended a legitimate attack on their home with an assault rifle in history.

But plenty of people have used assault rifles to murder innocent men, women and children dozens of times in just the last 10 years.
This is literally the furthest thing from a factual statement.

You're claiming people said things they didn't.

You're good at this debate stuff.

Maybe we should issue a gun to everyone when they're born. This could solve many problems when growing up. No more bullies, no more pedo's, no more child abuse. They can now defend them selves and not look to the nanny state for protection, sounds almost utopian.

What difference does it make if its suicide? That can be prevented too...most people dont want to die miserably and guns make it too easy...just look at Australia...they did it.

Yeah good point. If there's no guns available no one will be able to kill themselves in any other way.

I'll say it in this thread as well. Austrailia has a better healthcare system. We push mental illness to the side. Same with Canada.

So what is a gun owners solution to this problem? "Saying" we should have more classes and training for people? This whole problem exists because gun owners exist...so how about some accountability and some real efforts to change things? I fish and a shit ton of people polute my waters with garbage. Only the fishermen clean the shit up, no one else gives a fuck...what are gun owners doing to help resolve this issue?
