Monthly Costs for Elecricity with 18 Plant Hydroponics Grow

Hello once again. I am a new grower and am starting a collective with 2 other patients.

I want to know from any experienced grower about how much electricity bill would cost per month, following these conditions.

- Planning on 18 plants (6 per patient)
- Two lights - 1x1000w MH for Flowering and 1x400w HPS for Veg (seperate rooms)
- Using either ebb/flow or aeroponics

Given the number of plants ,18, would one 1000w MH be sufficient for the quantity.

With that general basis and assuming there are no other factors for electrical usage, followed with costs such as energy of fans, time lights are on, energy of water pump for irrigation, etc..., what would I be looking at in electrical bills for a month?

Also, any advice on growing methods that would save money. I just heard aeroponics would produce the most in the quickest time, therefore making it more practical.

In ontario on peak rate is .09 cents so if you calculate it at that it's 1000 times 12 hours = 12000 which is 12 kilowatts so 12 times .09 = 1.08 so it costs $1.08 a day to run a 1000 watt light for 12 hours.. Let say wit your 1000 mh and 400 hps and fans pumps and other times in the room you could be close to 2500 watts And with the 1000 off half the day we will round it out to 1200 watts per hour for 24 hours so it will be around so it would cost you about 2.59 cents a day to run your setup!! This is just a idea not 100% as I don't know what your room is holding. Hope it help. So watts times hours divide by 1000 then times by price of kilowatt .05-.09 for here

And I would switch your lights around use 1000hps for flower and 400 mh for veg much much better results or 2 600 watt hps for flower

Oh and pumps use any where from 25 watts all the way to 500 watts (big ones) fans 8 inch inline is about 300watts house hold osculating fans are I think 125 and then you have extra hydro lost in wires maybe cost???? Idk timers use very little guess that's about it for a small grow hope it helps ya!!
