Does MT have medical marijuana? If so, can I get my card without being a state resident?

ya there is a medi law here, has been for like five years actually. i dont know about gettting a card here without being a state resident, but my new roomy just moved from out of state so i am sure you can. also i do know montana and rhode island are the only two states that will honor all other state issued marijuana liscenses with no questions asked.....

Sweeeet. I'm actually heading up that way in a couple weeks for the rest of the summer. So if I were to get my california card, they would honor it at the dispensaries up there?
sounds like a good deal to me.

ya its a pretty solid reciprocracy clause in there, not only will the dispensaries honor your card, the state police will too.

What's up fellow montucky-ans. gotta love that montana medical. i've been seein better local buds in the last couple of years than the shit that all my friends kept haulin in from outta state. as for the 'dispensaries' bit, it does'nt really work like that in most towns. as a caregiver for multiple patients of the montana medical marijuana program, i tend to see mostly mom and pop type operations run from homes and garages. The laws are still kinda shady about dispensaries. as it stands, in state patients are required to get their medicine solely from the caregiver listed on their card and/or grow it themselves. Therefore, only a few caregivers in every town advertise or have any part of their buisiness in the public eye, and more often than not, they're the shady and underhanded types that are best avoided. everyone else just gets their whole circle a card and signs one of them as a caregiver. i personally haven't ever encountered anyone from out of state who's attempted to have their card honored in our state. i'd try the usual methods of finding 'medicine' in a new town and hit up the skate parks, college campuses, and other high stoner-traffic locations and ask around for a caregiver

dude i still think pullin a hey guy is pretty shady stuff, even in montana. ive read up on the laws here and we are one of 2 states that will honor any state issued medi card. the "growing up fast" article in the independant a few months back mentioned talked about an actual dispensary in livingston of all places, but you are right, our medical law doesnt make provisions for dispensaries, so i really dont know how that works.

I married a Ida-ho, a rather Boise woman.
The dispensary in Livingston(e) is a local joke. I suppose things could have changed by now, but not all that long ago I met with the owners and their product was what most of us here would consider immature, un-manicured and expensive (for the quality).

Not sure how I ever missed this thread, have lived in Montana my whole life. From Bozeman originally but now reside in the eastern part of the state.

Also, I've been thinking of getting my card. Anyone know of any docs that would sign my recommendation even though I don't have a regular doctor (avoid the hospital like the plague). The main ailment being insomnia, never went to the doc for it though as I can usually just spark a bowl and I'll be ready for bed within the hour :)
