if your going to find a generator, you better get on it before its too late.

ive got a full generator with a 16 gal. tank, another 25 gal. in cans and food shop. taking care of the yard next.

i am glad i chopped last weekend because i dont like to run my hps on a generator.

its going to be a long week without power.

used up the perishables in the fridge and stocked up on non perishables. the main concern is from substations flooding and the utility comp's having to denergize them. i don't think there will be alot of outages due to downed lines. so if your near the shore then its more of a concern.

Stocked up on food, put the lawn stuffs away, got the ferrets plenty of food...

Capped off by a good JuJu dance for my plants, that they may survive the power outage.

I'm on the ocean.. Waiting to see if there is a mandatory evacuation. My grow is in northern RI so I'm hopeful. I had 5 days in the dark during the last hurricane without a problem..

I can't figure out how to add a pic with an iPad. I don't have a computer here.. Let me know if you know how..

Yeah, i lived right in warwick last yr. Right on the water when we had storm. No electric for 7 days. Sucked... things looking good right now. 11 right now an small winds and light rain. Supposed to be bad by 12-1 lol just not seeing it. Hoping for the best so my girls arnt in darkness for several days!

I do have to say with last storm living on the water. Literally last house on street 30ft from water it was good time. Cool to see the water going crazy an nature doing its thing.

yea, my last job taught me one thing. don't trust what the meteorologists say. they are almost never right. if they say on tuesday that it'll rain on wednesday afternoon, it'll rain on thursday night. they are no more than actors on camera echoing off each other and websites. drama sells

weather.gov, NOAA's website, is the best site to go to, all other websites and meteorologists get they're data from them, and then misinterpret and dramatize almost all the time.

I'm shocked, but we made it through without losing power. It looks like there's about 100K RI'ers not so lucky. I hope it gets back up soon for y'all.

yea, i thought this one wouldn't be as bad, since last year was more of a sucker punch. the utility companies were more prepared. I know that CL&p spent all of this year trimming trees back off the lines in preparation for another freak storm, i imagine other states did the same.

funny, but true, there were alot of residents that argued with the tree cutting crews not to cut they're branches back. pretty selfish.

I'de hate to be the guy who had his service connection riped out by the neighbor's tree especially after the tree cutting crews were denied acces to that neighbor's tree.

i lost power for like 2 hours but no big deal. basically some branches down and leaf cleanup but def could have been alot worse.
