Mold prevention

How do you guys prevent mold on buds?
I have 34°C in tent, 40% humidity, 2 fans (80W) in 80x80cm tent. And I still got mold today when I chop one plant.

I clean and bleach everything in between grows. Your humidity is fine. Circulation is key... don't have any stale air spots... add oscillating fans if necessary. If your buds don't allow airflow because they are too close together then you may end up with mold too.

Because I got mold.. I was thinking to buy intake fan (20W) and throw away oscilating fans in my tent which consumes 80W and only mix air. So intake fan will bring more fresh air into tent. I cannot set up exhaust fan because I have already one on carbon filter so I guess if I add another, it won't filter air and will smell. So intake.

You might want to consider a more powerful exhaust fan that moves more air out of the space. Holy hell man, your room is way too hot! I'm surprised that nobody else mentioned this. Too much heat and not enough ventilation (the two tend to go together) are most likely the reasons for your mold problem.

Some strains are also more prone to mold than others. If I'm running a strain that produces really dense buds I will usually top it to keep the buds on the smaller side so they have a smaller chance of growing gray hair on the main stem.

coldrain is absolutely right. I didn't catch the temp. Sorry, I live in one of the 3 countries in the world that don't use the metric system and I don't know it. That's waaaaaay too hot! I would keep the temps under 28 or so (or under 32 if using CO2).

My room temp is 30°C. My tent is 34°C so tottaly normal with COBs.
We are in middle/hot summer here. :)

Hey Konop. Pretty shure your tent is way too hot. And for Humidity I went and got a dehumidifier but if thats not in your budget just get a couple clip fans to circulate air. Hope this helps

look at DIY swamp coolers on youtube to lower temp if you can't afford a small air conditioner or something, some of them can be pretty effective at lowering temp. i;m in a metric country too but for this i use F and not sure how that converts, i even have an analog thermo/hygrometer and i've never looked at the metric scale on it. i wouldn't go past 28 at all if possible.

That 40% rh at 35degrees is too high.
You want 40-50% at like 25degrees.

If your tent were to cool to 20degrees you would be at like 80%rh.

Too hot n humid.

Guaranteed mold at those temp and humidity levels. Buy a cheap window ac and feed it into the tent. $129 US at lowes.
