    This post has no pics. Last night I noticed some white powder like substance on the bottom of two of my pots at the drainage holes, on the soil. My temps are pretty good.. stay about 80 F humidity stays good from 40-60 lingers at 50 for the most part. I have pretty good circulation.
    The thing is. This is the first time i've dropped germed seeds into their final pot (3 gal) , as opposed to transplanting a few times. now i know the reason is probably due to having the soil too moist since i dropped the bean but... im worried. Would this mean the whole system is fucked now?
    i did some research on soil mold but i must be reading the wrong things... have i just infected the plant?
    what types of mold are commonly found on soil indoors?
    better yet .... anyone have any suggestions on a next step i should take, other than increasing the airflow.... ehhh:-(

    That's probably not mold. It's just mineral build up.

    yeah??? i was thinking that also. but i always freak out and think worst case scenarios.. what made me think that could be that ( mineral buildup) was just the fact how some nutes.. especially FF BB leaves a film behind as well as the soil. Thanks brother .. you've helped me in the past before... rep!

    +1 probably just mineral salts. Pretty much the same stuff that accumulates around sink faucets, shower heads etc. It kinda accumulates around the cap & top of Nute bottles too.

    Damp off, mold and whatnot look more like the stuff growing on old bread, or suspicious leftovers in the fridge. {not exactly like... just more like}

    ^Agreed, it's likely mineral/salt deposits. If it's mold, you better get a fan circulating air around those pots, or it'll continue to be a problem.

    If it was mold, you would see it on the top layer of soil. I've had it happen on house plants, not on cannabis. But these mineral build ups just further suppport why flushing is a must do chore in raising cannabis.

    I couldn't agree more. I'd flush every 4 weeks, if I had the ambition.(seriously)

    Thank you guys again ..... with the above statement i've had the same thing ....mold on top of the soil but not the bottom.
