mold keeps coming back

it starts growing about once a week since i started, at first my res had alot of light leaks and the temp stayed about 70 after the first 2 weeks i light proofed the rez, ive cleaned it like 4 times now, the last i was using 35% h2o2 every other day. now i cleaned it and im gonna let everything dry clean it again then start over. any other suggestions

not sure some floats to the top and looks like spit, then a lot of grey shit forms at the bottom

I'd recheck for light leaks and then get yourself a good size bottle of h202 if you dont already have it... dump a good amount in your res while empty of water... swirl it around... scrub everything real good to clean it well... then fill it back up.. add some H202 to your water/nute solution and see how it goes from there. Dont over look your net pots for light leaks either! Might need to make up some discs covered in foil tape or something to go over the top of the net pots so it will block the light.

I'm new to hydro so someone else might have some better ideas... but thats where I would start.

i soaked the hydraton and all valves and pump parts in a strong mix of h2o2, like half a quart of 35% in a small bathroom sink of water and let soak over night then rinsed the hydraton in small hand fulls at a time then put it on a bakeing sheet in the sun till dry. soaked h202 in all the net pots and res, then scurbed everything with 409 let dry for a few days, got new hoses, irrigation hub, air wands and start some new sprouts. should this kill all the mold?
also im using tap water with a ppm of 29, is that good or bad?

i think i got it cleaned right i made it a week and the waters clean, but i changed it anyway.

so ive changed it every week, and 3 weeks it comes back, not much in the res but its packed in the hydraton. no light leaks but my thmp stays 75 to 80. im thinking adding a bucket with a pump get it circulating and drop a frozen milk jug in a day. to light proof the res i used aluminum foil and aluminum tape, put a sheet of reflective foam on top and alum taped the net pots so theirs just the plant sticking out. any thoughts

You can also try a product called Flora Shield made by GH it is a great plant a res conditioner and cleaner. I use it as a foliar treatment 2-3 times per week all the way to the last two weeks of flower and has really made a difference with my trays res and plants they love it and mildew mold and algea are history. It also work good for just alround bug deterant also.

H2o2 breaks down very fast. If you use it to clean dont have any lights on as light will help it degrade faster. I use it in my planted aquariums for algae control when i am to busy in the grow room to clean my tanks and filters regularly. You shouldnt have to replace anything if you properly disinfect with a 35% solution. I add a cup n a half to my 180gal tank and with in 2 days the algae is on its way out and thats with a 3% solution. Is the stuff like a brown sludge? If so try some hygrozyme it is a product that helps break down the crap that can float around in you rez. You could be having some root material breaking off or some root rot possibly. Did you post up that your rez temp gets to75-80? If that is the case that is your problem. The available o2 in 80deg. water is crap. Your roots will die and rot. I keep mine at 68 or lower and I have read some like it around 61-62deg. Like mentioned before I would get some flora shield or flora kleen as well. 29ppm is good for tap water.

fuck the h202 for sure stop using it now and go to plant success.com and order some great white, it is mycorrhizal that has 90 types of good bacteria that eat the bad shit and poop it out as nutrients check it out for sure i promise i had the same problems as you, alwayz cleaning and scrubbing every week for 8 weeks till i found great white
