molasses during flush

someone told me they know people that use molasses during the flush. i always used and thought molasses was used during feedings. i was also under the impression that a flush should only use water and add a flushing solution like clear X or flora klean if desired. why would you flush with molasses? it has a small NPK. i would think it would make your buds a little chemical tasting. yes i know it feed microbes and enhances the sweet flavors. but why would you want that after a flush? personally what i do is run plain water through the pot about 10-14 days before harvest. the amount of water depends on the pot size. i do 3 times the pot size, 5 gallon would be 15 gallons of water run through. the first couple gallons though i use flora klean to break up any salts or leftover nutrients. after that for the entire 10-14 days, anytime it needs water, i just water plain water. i find if i were to add molasses and the end it would fuck the flavor up cause its adding NPK back to your soil.

You'll find people that will tell you anything. Seems like you've done the thinking for yourself. Job done.

I did it one time. Never again. It left a smell in the jar that I just didnt like. Lots of people swear by it though. Now, I just used Grandmas right out of the kitchen cupboard. I was told I used the wrong stuff and should have used a special Black Strap Molassas. But thats ok, I wont be needing it again. Yuk

I use 'Meridian Black Strap Molassas' in my organics grow. I love the stuff. But I can't understand the logic in flushing with it. If I don't understand it then acting upon it would just be superstition.
