Moisture Control Soil?

Whatever the design for "moisture control " is I dont think its designed to keep your plants soaked but rather keep the soil from drying out as fast but at the same time not soaked, someone may correct me but I dont think he needs to add anything at all he looks fine. I found the problem with the MG was during seedling stage they burn sometimes. I am not sure you will need to do anything but start feeding slowly after first week of flower depending on how long you plan to veg. I am slowly learning to stop with all the tricks and suggestions sometimes when your plants look good there is a reason. They are happy and healthy be careful what advice you take. You can easily see your same questions asked in previous threads and read the responses and see if the Veteran growers have chimed in and heed the advice they give. ONe word of advice you may see alot is LEAVE THEM ALONE THEY ARE DOING GREAT. They should go crazy when you step up to the 600w hps
Good luck

Ok this is based on how big your pots are 1,3,5 gallon

Basically get a measuring cup (i use a 1 quart one)

If you are using a 3 gallon pot then that is equivalent to 12 of my measuring cups

so to accomplish 1 part perlite and 3 parts soil that would be 25% of 12 which is 3

So i would use 3 of my measuring cups of perlite and 9 of my measuring cups soil.

Now some more on Miracle grow soil.

Although a lot of people are against it, i can tell you of my experience.

MG soil most of the times comes with gnats, yes this happened with me. Although they were easy to deal with, this is a pain in the ass. Especially for someone who is starting out.

Also when dealing with chemical fertilizers you will get a salt build up which can lock out your nutes, and cause ph problems. Same thing happened to me.

I do hope you have a good grow, and all goes well, but now I always recommend organic. There are much less issues to deal with
I always appreciate people on this site, and just people in general who are willing to take that extra step to walk someone through something...thanks man. I can't stand the people that fire back at people for being "dumb" on here or "clueless"...again, thanks. As far as MG, yea it is definately looked down at in the growing community as far as herb goes. That sorta makes me proud to use it..i am always the rebel..haha. I did find a few two gnats one day, but I can't pinpoint it to the MG..could have come from anywhere. I think many times people find gnats and put the blame on MG right away..who knows? I got rid of them easily though. As soon as I saw them I sprayed the entire room (covered plants first) with raid house and garden (yea i know it can kill my plant if it breaths it, i was careful) and put one of them hot shot no pest strips in between all plants...haven't seen a gnat in soil or anywhere again. -knocks on wood-. I actually feel that what I THOUGHT was nute burn was the gnats sucking a few of them dry. The gnats I found were on the plants that weren't doing so well...being new I kept watering the shit out of the plants thinking it would help "flush" the plants but come to find out the way that I was doing it was making the fertz release like crazy...but again, with MG it is hard to pinpoint the problem...a downside of it of course. I have gotten ready to purchase Farfa soil (spelled it wrong im sure) and many other premium soils, but I always held back. Me and MG Moisture Control done built a trust. I'm going to use it all the way through and if "she" crosses me wrong when I go into flower, ima do like chris rock and shake the shit out of her! lol. Thanks for the reply man. Hey, quick question, what are your thoughts on "Coleman Emergency Blankets"? I got a bunch cause I thought like most emergency blankets they were mylar...I was wrong.

Coleman Emergency Blankets ???

I don't think they could be used for a reflective material, but I say flat white paint is a good reflector

When I was building my ward robe closet for growing that was what I did, just paint it

Good luck on your grow
