Mohican's Kessil Grow 2014

Mohican great to see someone doing a Kessil only grow like me. I currently have a deep purple 350 and a Magenta 350. I also have a red 150 on the way. I hope that you can show more of the plants growth in your future posts. Although the gear and spinner is nice. I am going to add a regular spectral carrier soon. How many plants are you growing, and what are the total kessil lights? I used two 350's to grow one monster blueberry plant on my last grow. Anyway good luck, and keep posting.

Smoke - That is awesome. I have six lights on the spinner at the moment. The two different H350s and four H150 purples. The plants seem to be very happy with it. I up potted the big Blue Dream today so she is outside and now there are four girls under the Kessils. I put all of these plants outside in the sun during the day. They are getting a total of 18/6 light/dark.

Nice job tightening them up. Hopefully it won't be able to tip and have them come out again. Very strange method of hanging something like that if you ask me. Lots of $ hanging from it so I would have thought there would be something a little more permanent than those hooks.

Mohican, awesome job. Those plants look very dark green and healthy under the Kessils. I use cfl's to raise up sprouts. When They are a couple weeks old I move them under the H350 Purple. Then after a month I add the H350 Magenta. I am expanding my setup now with a red H150 arriving this week. I will also purchase a blue H150 next payday. My plan is to use the red and blue kessil H150 and have them aimed at lower foilage from the sides.

Thanks - I am stoked that there is another Kessil grower!

Stardust Sailor is using his red LEDs on the side with amazing results. I cant wait to see what the Kessils will do.

I up potted the Blue Dream to a #7 SmartPot. I ran out of sunlight before I had time to get the others transplanted. I will finish them up tomorrow.

I had a hid/kessil grow, the tahoe og i grew directly under the kessil was noticeable danker and had more color.
nice grow homie

Can't find much grow journals on these Kessil's...

I was looking to pick up a H150 Magenta to supplement my Hans panel but am a little hesitant

Are you vegging or flowering?

Blue for veg and red for flower. The magenta is designed to cover both. However, when I added the deep purple to the magenta is saw a huge difference in growth. The plants went from slowly surviving to vigorous praying and giant leaves.

You can get an H350 for almost the same price as an H150. Check out the link a few posts back for the store.

I agree the H350 would be an excellent choice for someone buying a single Kessil. A magenta is a great choice for MJ blooming. My first LED was actually a UFO, which I did get fair results from. However when I replaced it with the H350 there was no looking back. My ultimate goal will be two more H350's on a carrier, supported by H150's as supplemental. Why the Heck doesnt Kessil male a blue, and red H350?

Yeah i have a 180 watt ufo and its good to know that the kessil is beating them. what watt was your ufo? i also have 4 drop in led so my actual led power is 172. i think ill be adding kessil into my flower room especially since i am getting a 600 hps/md setup and want to flood them with hps.led.

My LED UFO was one of those 135 watt ones off Ebay. It was a great entry level LED :-) When I got the Kessil (H350M) I realized that the intensity was better and penetration into the plant. I guess because the kessils are set up more like spot lights. As soon as I saw the growth, I got a second H350. Price is high, but if you could smoke that last blueberry plant I grew, youd see they are worth every penny!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm bluuuuuberrrrry ahhhhhhh (in the voice of Homer Simpson)

Two things this morning.

1. The spinner stopped spinning. I was worried that the fall damaged the gears. Now I need to open her up and see what's going on.

2. The plants are not looking so hot. The Jesus and LA Con are droopy while the Blue Dream seems OK and the Scott's is praying (it had the H350 Magenta stuck over it all night).
