:wall:Gah Im officially stumped =/

Because of my computer background im having some pride issues and feel kind of stupid even asking for help, But im out of moves hahaha.

So im fixing (well attempting to fix) this HP mini 110 netbook thats running Win7 Starter. It's having some weird ass connection issue i've never seen or experienced before. It's saying its fully connected to the internet, But I physically can't get any webpage to open. Mind you this is the wireless and wired connections. I even tried a USB wireless drive with no luck. This person claims somebody was fucking with their netbook and did something and out of nowhere this problem just started happening. I took it from there house to mine to see if there internet connection was just out of whack. I've tried the lastest IE and Firefox to no avail. Ive tried system restore to before it was happening, Ive checked the drivers, Checked the system services, Ran registry mechanic, checked the anti-virus, checked the firewall, Tried LSP fix, check to see if there was a proxy, plugged it in via cable(LAN) to see if it was the wireless card and still the same thing. Im sure ive done more i just cant even think of it all.

Im totally fucking lost and could really use the bit of cash that would come with fixing this laptop as im pretty strapped on cash A.T.M. So if anybody has any ideas please please please throw them out there and i'll give it a shot. I've officially googled my ass off for the last 24 hours and have found that these laptops have an insane amount of connection problems. Ive made it to about page 10 in google reading thru every page and forum and thread that might have an answer to my exact problem and nothing. I mean I dont want to have to reload windows 7 and have that not even fix the problem. This stupid netbook has me buggin out -_-

So come on fellow techies help a brother out :bigjoint:

go figure, ten minutes after i post this i figure it out haha. I found one person on the internet who was having the same problem and it turns out symantec trial had ran out (norton A-V) and it just killed the connection. I uninstalled that and poof it works fucking perfect. Norton wasnt/hasnt been ran/running since i got the laptop so i didnt even think to uninstall it, I just made sure it was disabled.

But anyways good shit problem solved..Now only if i could figure out how to delete a thread haha.

I sometimes have similar problems. I navigate here and select network adapter. It runs a scan and fixes my connection.

If this don't help I don't have a clue.

Good luck.

Nortin sucks balls. Check out NOD32 on www.eset.com I've never witnessed ANY problems with NOD32 in my entire 5 years of using it and putting it on other people computers. It's relatively cheap too, the basic package is enough unless you want the firewall and all the extra shit. I'm pretty sure you can find torrents with cracks for NOD32. It will work and update for a year or two but it may just stop working one day, forcing you to actually pay the 70 for 2 years if you want to continue to get updates. If you get a few friends or other computers you can buy like 3 or 4 licenses at once for reduced price. It's what I do.

I used to be big into computers, I'm using one that I built myself from scratch years and years ago. Still runs strong, runs all the latest games on very high. I have a good amount of info, next time or if you still are having problems just PM me. No problem for a fellow randy.
