Whats up, bro... Just wanted to confirm my sentiments of over watering. Rockwool retains water extremely well, and this kind of drooping is a clear sign of over-watering. As stated above, the discoloration in foliage is either symtoms of too much light OR micronutrient deficiency contributed from the over-watering. Hell, you know all of this by now. I hope all is back on track. Cheers, dak

The ladies are doing well. I stuck with Green Crack as the other strains did not take well. Possibly because they were shotty clones to start with. Here is a couple shots of them a few weeks into flowering. They were toped in they're 2nd week of Veg and during the first week of flowering I cut off all the bottem branching for about 8 inches to ensure the plants are puting all their energy into the tops.
I'm keeping the CO2 at about 1500ppm while the lights are on. I also attached a shot of the nutrients they were being fed at the time. I'm currently dealing with high humidity and dont have the budget to buy a dehumidifier at the moment. The high humidity has brought back my good friend powdery mildew... which I'm currently treating for every 6-7 days. My a/c unit acts as a dehumidifier to some affect, but not nearly as much as I need it to.

Should I be able to get this humidity issue under control, I'm definately considering going back to aeroponic growing next cycle. We'll see... Another issue I would like to address is the lack of light coverage with the hoods I'm using. I've been told several times to make the switch to the Magnum XXL hoods and I think thats what I will do.

Spring for a dehumidifer - craigslist has used ones for cheap.

No sense in losing the majority of your crop to mold when you can spend $100 and get a dehumidifier.

Also, using my Magnum XXXL right now in my 4x4 tent, it's the shit (highly recommended).

Yeah definately get on that dehumidifier. We'd all hate to see mold be the downfall of such a nice set up. Like Bob said, you can definately find cheap ones.

Get the dam dehumidifier !!!!!! Just lost my last harvest to mold :wall: two months and nothing to show for it :dunce:. Get the dehumidifier and dont get a cheap one you will just have to replace it. Spend 200 and get a good one. Pricey yes but fuck two months having to pay for meds can get pricey to!

Go mow some lawns, clean pools, wash cars ;-) whatever you gotta do

A coupla things:

1) Definitely get one that you can run a hose off of to constantly drain - if your setup is anything like my sealed setup, my dehumidifier (25 pints) would fill up two or three times a day in my 4x4 tent, and when it filled up, it obviously turns off, giving me >90% humidity (that's bad).

2) If you're using yours in conjunction with an atmospheric controller (I have a Sentinel CHHC-1), you need to get one with an "auto-restart" function - otherwise, when power is restored, the dehumidifer won't work until you physically turn it on.

I lucked out and bought one that happened to have an auto-restart feature, but if you don't get that than you're fucked if trying to use in conjunction with an atmosphere controller.

Knobs as opposed to digital displays is generally a good indicator of an auto-restart feature, but that's certainly not a hard and fast rule.

Good luck.

So its been 4 days with the clones now and they're not doing well at all. The 2nd day they started to droop a lot and I was advised that this may be due to me not feeding them strong enough nutrients... so I doubled my ppms from 250 to 500. Still no change and I could really use some good advise here...

-Mitus

If your clones are not rooted, do not give nutes or you will kill them like i did someday. 250ppm when they are nicely rooted. Clones take times to recover.

So I picked up a dehumidifier today. I have it set up on continuous drip rather than filling up the internal container which I think is only 50 pints. I almost immidiately noticed a difference in the humidity. I also am toying with a few additions to my usual recipe which you'll see in the attached pics.

I'll keep you guys updated on whether or not my dehumidifier does the job :)

I just jumped onto this thread and love the setup. Nice work man. Looks like you have all the hard work of the initial climate control/room setup complete. Hopefully just general maintenance from here on out. A clone propagator might help next time around to really get a nice root structure established. I have never been a big fan of large (anything over 1-2") rockwool. I like to root the clones in rw plugs and place them into a larger medium for nice airflow/less water retention. Do you have an airstone in your res? I like your idea of switching your system over to aeroponics for the next batch. Like I said...the hard part (construction wise) is done. You can switch methods and tweak your system from harvest to harvest. Nice thread. Can't wait for more updates/pics.

Around weeks 3 and 4 of bloom would be the time where I am introducing Cal/Mag to my nutrients... any opinions on the amount of Cal/Mag to use?

From what I've heard Cal-Mag is marketed toward tomatoes which need much more then cannabis. Use at 1/2 the recommended dosage on the bottle. If you go too heavy you can lock out other micros like zinc, moly, ect

Ok, so my 45 pint per day unit was not quite getting my humidity where I wanted it to be... I luckily happened across this place that sells refurbished units and I actually ended up with 2 units that were each more powerful than the one I already had and spent the same amount of money. after a half day of running the 2 dehumidifiers, my humidity has gone from 85%-off the charts to now around 40-55%. Looking good so far. :)

I'd say 90% of the units I've come across recently have an "auto-restart" feature, in case of power loss.
