Miracle grow

I agree Kwik it ha a lot to do with the water I use straight from the tap and I let it sit for 24 hours before using it here in Colorado you can smell the chlorine in it we have several dispensaries in town and personally I think there weed sucks its not manicured or cured properly and there buds are very airy and light mine are super dense and excellent flavor I guess a lot of growers don't understand the flush cycle if your weed tastes like nutes I wanted to try molasses cuz I hear it adds a nice stickiness again flushing your plants before harvest is important to get all the mutes out I usually cure my weed for 4 months before letting it be enjoyed by others

I too have had problems with the seedling starter mix I thought it would be good but for me all failed in starter mix
I use seed starting mix, with 20-25% perilite, and 20-25% Vermiculite, mixed for my cloning, mist soil/medium with spray bottle, and get 100% clones live every time...

Have you tried the others? What were your thoughts on the seed starter mix?

I do buy in bulk and only tried growing with it a couple times, I suppose I could have got a bad bag or something. Mine was basically powder and filled the air when I open the bag.. got dirt on my buds:( and made drainage a pain. I would water and suddenly the dirt would bubble and when it popped there was a dry patch of soil.. I don't know I had issues with it

Mixed wit the P/V it is very 'airy' retains it's moisture... yes, very dry, which I love because it's dry... I have seen the dust cloud, I mix soils in different room than I do grow... I always had a clone die per batch, one here one there, with my [MG/V/P mix] clone mix I loose 0.00% I worry when I can't find it, and try to always have an extra bag around...

I'll have to try that, I've never used vermiculite... so what do you grow normally with or do you continue that formula when you transplant or whatever

After they have rooted, I transplant into small nursery pots with MG Organic 75% // 20-25% Vermiculite/Perilite mix, along with Bone/Blood meal, and some special sauce... MG haters... and MG parrotors ... I have heard people rant about MG having "Too much" stuff in it [very hot] and now peeps complain it doesn't have enuff stuff in it... some are just whiners...when I buy a bag of soil, it is just the medium anyway... I must amend/fert/nute it to my liking, and what works for me...

I had the same problem with seed starter it wouldn't drain and an inch below surface it was dry I've never tried with clones I use an aero garden for my clones kinda a pricey cloner but it works very well I did notice in my seed starter what seemed like spider web in the soil in a new (unopened) bag

I'm not impressed too much with the soil mixture. It will burn seedlings if you use to start them. There seems to be a variance in the quality from one bag to the next. The nutrients seem to leach out of it with too much rain or watering.

Their chemical fertilizers have always done the trick here though, so long as used carefully. (with vegetables, houseplants ,weed or whatever.)

By the way, I notice there are 2 different strengths of the MG bloom booster; 10-52-10, and 15-30-15.

What's up with that? Any reason why one would be better than the other for cannabis?

There is nothing wrong with MG potting soils, if there was it wouldn't sell.

Do not use bloom foods, unless you want less production. Yep, that's what I said.

I've never seen another mg bloom booster, could you possibly put up a link... Ben as mentioned earlier the flowering foods are designed exclusively for foliar feeding and hydroponics, because of this they have more chelated ingredients and micro nutes.. its not like there isn't n. I also use this same formula in veg. its a pretty good ratio for the most part of everything. I'm gonna try adding some kelp next grow see how that does for me. But I get excellent results with Epson and the bloom booster....

I've been experimenting with MG's potting soil, and can say that it doesn't deserve the bad rap it's gotten over the years. I now have five plants in MG's potting soil (I would probably stay away from the "moisture control" as I have read that it turns into mud) and have documented a Lemon OG Kush growing in this soil now. It's about 4 weeks into 12/12 and still has shown no signs of deficiencies or burn.

Nobody here uses all purpose.... that would be one of the nutes I wouldn't use. I recommended any flowering nutes. Besides sodium and chlorine are in the water

And I'm pretty sure I've never seen or even heard of cobalt or nickel deficiencies .0001 ha that's laughable. Your tap probly has all those metals in such small traces

The only real thing its missing is mag and sulpher. Both come from Epson everything else is in the tap water.....seriously though mg produces fine results, I think we all actually said you could improve your product by a small percent with better nutes but that small percent isn't worth it. Everyone who has ever tried my bud loves it. Usually a lot more so than what they were smoking...if you didn't get as good of results its you the growers fault. Nutes are nutes my box says mg

And to correct it actually does have chlorine and sulfur and sodium its just attached to other nutes for example copper sulfate
Isn't MG all purpose almost identical to dyna gro foliage pro? It has the same 3-1-2 ratio that seems to be the typical recommended ratio

I don't know anything about other fertilizer companies, I know mg all purpose isn't suitable for edible plants such as veggies, I don't know the exact reasoning but mg says its not edible, i know many say so and it has veggies on the box i think but if you look deeper into mgs product descriptions its mentioned not edible, unlike bloom food..also contains a soil penetrant, again I dont know what that means but I dont wanna eat or smoke bud from all purpose....it also doesn't contain the chelated ingrediants or micro nutes that the bloom booster does...bloom booster also has calcium in it, some other liming agents

Huh? They're all (manufacturer's plant foods) the same using the same salts just different ratios. Potassium phosphate, ammonium nitrate, urea, etc. Like to see your documentation on that one. Also, almost all soils use some kind of penetrant. It reduces soil particle tension so that water sticks rather than being repelled. I don't believe it lasts forever in the potting soil, not that's it good or bad.

again I dont know what that means but I dont wanna eat or smoke bud from all purpose....
Why? If you have something factual to offer I'd like to see it. Not singling you out but there are too many personal behaviors, gardening or otherwise, that are based solely on feelings or belief systems rather than facts.

I've never once mentioned potting soil.. I'm talking about bloom booster you put it in your water, maybe its the soil penetrant they don't want you spraying on your bud, I don't know why they say that particular one isn't edible because I don't like its nute ratios or the lack of micro nutes and chelated ingredients . Maybe its because it has higher levels of arsenic I don't know but your basically arguing with what they say about their own product. Not all of them are listed as inedible so Im going to listen

I think that those that have had issues with MG's plant food didn't scale-down the dosages to fit weed's needs. If I used Jack's Classic at the recommended dosages, I suspect that I would be having issues too.
