It isn't necessarily light leaks that cause herms, but stress. Some plants herm with less stress, i.e. light leaks or a red light on a power strip or perhaps 2 plants in one pot or too much of a particular nutrient. I've had plants that herm with light leaks right next to one's that didn't. I've had plants herm with nutrient mixes that others thrive in, the point is why create extra stress and raise the chance of problems? Just to impress others online? Naw, pass
Exactly...the parady us complete.

3 pages and nothing to prove MG contains anything more than trace amounts of metals and other contaminate that is dangerous. Near as I can tell, pretty much every soil available has some level of contaminate. All I'm reading is its bad and only stupid people use it lol. I will defer my dicision until I see fact based evidence as to whether it's bad or not. As for taste difference I'm not convinced of that either as I have not experienced that, a blind taste test would be interesting. The reason I don't use it is why pay for something when I get it free from the big pile of shit at the farm next door lol. I buy my garden soil by the truck load from local sources as well. Living in an urban versus rural setting would dictate how I went about getting soil for my grows as well.

Please Try it ..post back thanks
A 5 gal pot of Miracle Grow. She's been growing for 3 months now. This is her 49th day of flowering. I'm certainly not disappointed in this plant. I've used it for years on all my tropical potted plants. Could I get better results spending $40 or $50 for a bag of soil? Maybe. Am I worried? No. I'm actually more worried about all the debris like carpet fibers, dog hair and who knows what that I'm finding stuck to the sugar leaves and buds.

I guess you missed my post(s).
Nope didn't miss anything lol. I said fact based ..... I have yet to see any. From what I've read (very little) there is trace amounts in all commercial soils. But have not seen any lab tested results, that's what I mean by fact based. I would spend more time looking but it's not a huge deal for me as I don't use it. And I've got some fishing to get to lol.

This is basically what I have been saying, so maybe you misunderstood. I didn't feel like actually digging up research to disprove a russian shitposter, but basically MG is harmless and not some evil soil like many make it out to be.

Miracle Grow All Purpose 24-8-16 https://agr.wa.gov/PestFert/Fertilizers/FertDB/prodinfo.aspx?pname=2137

Roots Uprising Foundation 3-1-1 https://agr.wa.gov/PestFert/Fertilizers/FertDB/prodinfo.aspx?pname=6018

Besides Zinc being much higher in the MG the Roots contains considerably larger amounts of things like Lead, Mercury and Cadmium. I think many organic growers would be surprised by the contents of their 'healthy' fertilizers. BTW I use Roots Foundation.
Bottom line is MG contains lower concentrates of metals than most high dollar, cannabis specific foods. I am surprised CNS17 Grow dosen't jingle when you carry it home.

I once grew an outdoor with MG it was ok. I grew with 2 part organics outdoors and it was way better. I also grew salts grows and organic in a tent. I have only used decent salts and if properly flushed they work well.

I think you need to target specifics sometimes with cannabis. The end cost per gram is probably miniscule comparing MG to a better product. GH specifc lines are very reasonable and work well in hydro applications. There are better but I think it is about the next cheapest line. But per gram it is a pennies difference when growing in a 4 x 4 for personal use.

Organics work great but my reservoir likes to grow stuff if I use them.

Side by side comparison of Miracle Gro, Roots Organic, and Fox Farm

He has a series of videos on this grow, this is part 2. Miracle Gro works better when mixed with perlite, but still not the best soil medium to use.

In the end, all the plants grew, thought the Miracle grow was significantly smaller

Really no need to. 3 plants from seed is not a comparison. I'm not saying MG is the best. Comparisons such as this though prove nothing. Only perpetuates the misconception.
