you are going to get a lot of people here tell you that it's a big HELL NO!!!! ranting and raving about how bad it is.

But it will actually serve you very well. I would start when they are about 2 weeks old with it mixed according to the potted plant instructions. Then you can slowly increase the strength if desired. A lot depends on the soil you are using also. Something like MG soil or ocean forest won't need as much as plain old top soil. Don't fertilize too often, no more than every 7-10 days unless you can tell they are needing more nutes.

Here's the thing. MG with Moisture Control soil with time release nutrients tends to run too hot, and too acidic, for cannabis. This plant is a flower, not a vegetable, and as a result the best soils are going to be those that work well with flowers. MG offers both a Rose mix and an Orchid mix that is just fine for cannabis. Their Organic Choice is also a decent soil when amended properly with garden lime and perlite.

The nutrients themselves are the same case. If you get MG nutrients, you want to look more towards their flower food than their vegetable food. Rose and orchid again are good choices. These flowers are prissy little princesses and garden clubs of America have been working on these plants for decades.

But for the price I just don't see the need to use super-conglomo brand nutrients from Mega Home Supply stores when smaller companies are making nutrients designed especially for cannabis. Go online, order what you need, and have it shipped to your door. It is that easy.

Dude if you don't care if your nutes are chemical or organic than stick to this method. Use a 1-1-1 nute for veg and a 1-3-2 nute for flower. For instant jack's classic for Veg is 20-20-20, that is a 1-1-1 ratio, where as Jacks Blossom Bloomer is 10-30-20 which is a 1-3-2 ratio. Plants need less N and more P during flower hence the ratio's.

This is much easier than having to mix up 15 different nutes blah blah blah, Jack's nutes also have all the trace nutrients your plants will need through life. Jack's shit is really cheap, it's family owned company and supply a great product. Check em out online.

MG is hot as hell? Define hot as hell? All ferts have the same bottom line product. Shits your plants metabolize and use for different functions. Show me a fert that does not have a Nitrogen - Phosphorous - Potassium content label, most manufactured ferts have the trace elements in it now as well (secondary macro-nutrients calcium, sulfur etc, and micro-nutrients boron, manganese, copper etc.......... Hot as hell is a dumb ass way to classify Miracle Grow or any manufactured synthetic fertilizer..... Everything is "hot as hell" if you don't use it properly. Go back to high school and take basic horticulture man, seriously.

meaning that mg is notorious for having concentrated nutes.... (did you understand that word?) for example, cow manure is around 0.3-0.2-0.1, whereas the first mg box I pulled out of my garage for reference is 18-18-23.... sure, its still the same nutrients, but at a much higher concentration, making it a "hotter" fertilizer... not a scientific term, but down here, every toothless redneck would know what I was talking about. All I was saying is that one must take this into consideration and adjust accordingly, which many beginners do NOT do, and end up burning the shit out of their plants.

I'd suggest you take the time to read and analyze what people are saying rather than shitting from your mouth to get your post count up ;)

Lol, just gonna go ahead and LOL this one. Use your "quality" organic crap for flower. Your plants don't give a fuck..... As long as you don't give them too much more than they need in any one category you won't get nute build up and poison your plants. MG, Organic, FF, Grow fuckin huge, it doesn't matter. The concentration is just that .01-.04.-.03 or 30-60-40. Use less MG or use more fucking manure, compost, guano it's your choice. Concentrated ferts are just that. Intended to be diluted. Use 1 cup manure or use 1/4 teaspoon of MG, you get my point. Don't steer people wrong idiot. MG is no hotter than anything else used properly. Fuckin idiot

yet again, you need to read. All I said is to be careful with mg as it is usually "hot" or "concentrated".... everyone else got the point, and nobody else got amped up enough to need to throw out "fucking idiot"....

Enjoy your vacation ;)
