Miniature grow pc fans?

Hey, I'm going to be converting a cupboard space under my art desk to start seeds and for clones, the space is a triangle shape approx 30"x30"x40" aprox 2.5' high.
I'm wanting to fit 3 pc fans, 2 for out take and one intake.
Would these be sufficient for that kind of space?
I want to have 2 out takes because I'll be fitting a homemade carbon filter to them, and I figure having two will compensate for the loss of efficiency once they have the filters on.
Any advice welcome :-)

I used that same ventilation in a pc case. It was 8" x 16" x 24.5" and the setup you're describing in terms of ventilation just did it, what will your lighting be? The best way to setup your exhaust and intake is with all those fans on exhaust and a passive intake 2-4x larger than the exhaust. Theres no need for an intake fan and the larger passive intake is much more effective

I'd say use a passive intake and use all 3 fans as exhaust fans, which would up the efficiency of the filters as well. You don't need intake fans, just cut an intake that's about 2 or 3 times your exhaust size and you'll be good.

You need at minimum all the air exchanged every 5 minutes. Much more if you have heat issues and in that space i feel there would be still air spots with that ventilation. Id suggest looking into getting a small high velocity fan and carbon filter cause it will smell a lot if things go as planned. I use a 6" 424 cfm high velocity fan with carvon filter in a square meter, 5' tall tent, so 55 cubic feet, but i use a 400 watt hps which puts off quite a bit of heat. I think a 4" high velocity fan and filter would do a beatiful job in there

Rereading your post now also pc fans are useless to try to use with filters. They cant take the push back at all. High velocity fans are designed for such uses

Cool man thanks for that, I'll keep two of them for intakes and then look for something better for the outtakes :-)

Sorry, for some reason those first two comments didn't show.

Looks like I'll go with a passive intake and get some better fans for the extraction.
I'm going to be using an LED, probably a viparspecta UFO model.
Thanks guys, much appreciated :-)

Again id really recommend making a large long passive intake cutout along the entire bottom of one side of the box with the exhaust at the top. If your using a good high velocity fan you can forget the pc fans. Theyll just get in the way

Yeh, sorry I didn't see your first message until after I'd posted.

I'll go with the stronger outake and passive intakes, thanks :-)

Good luck with the grow!! My tips are be very careful not to overwater, always feel an inch or two into the soil to see its dry before watering once the seedling has surfaced, little deeper if you move into 3 or 5 gallon containers, and be careful not to overfeed. Those are the 2 most common mistakes i see
