Mini quazi-stealth prepetual scrog grow.

So, it's been almost two years since my last attempt at growing and I have decided to give it another go. I'm giving up on roommates and moving into a one bedroom March 1st, so this journal might be a little dull for the next few weeks until I move in and get stuff setup.

Anyways, on with my plan...

I don't tend to have guests over, so I am more concerned about smell and noise than visual stealth. I have chosen to grow C99, as I hear it is one of the best for low smell. Plus I need to be productive when I smoke, so the legendary high intrigues me. Plus it's supposed to be easy to grow, Bonus.

The plan is to setup two GL-40 grow tents, one for a mother and clones, the other for flowering. I'm planning on only having one plant flowering at a time in a scrog setup.

For lighting I am pretty well set on using a 150w sun system HPS for flowering. In one of my sketchy past grows, I was able to keep a 70w HPS in a little computer case without much heat issue so I think it will be fine in terms of temperature. As for keeping the mother and starting clone(s) I am still torn between a 150w CFL or just going for a small MH.

For ventilation, the plan is to use one of these TD-100s. They're relatively cheap and i've heard good things about them. I'm going to get a Can-Filter 2600 to keep the smell down, and I'll probably put some ONA around the apartment as well. My plan is to have the carbon filter in the flowering tent, and connect the exhaust vent of the mother's tent to the secondary duct hole on the flowering tent. So as to vent both tents through the same fan and carbon filter. I'll have to find some way to do that without letting light leak from the mother to the flower, but I'm sure its possible some how. Combined, the tents will only be like 10 cubic feet, so running through the 2600 and the TD-100 (speed controlled to keep CFM below 85, which is what the filter is rated for) should be more than sufficient for airflow.

It will be a soil grow, just to keep it simple. Later on I might try transitioning to some sort of hydro system, but for now it will be soil. I still have a bit of research to do about the best soil and nutes, etc... but I'll worry about that when it gets closer to growing time.

Well, that's all for now. The next few weeks I'll just be gathering materials, but I'll try and keep this journal updated. Feel free to comment or chime in if you have advice or anything.

Thanks guys! bongsmilie
