MicroGrow Lighting?

Hey! What up fellow growers! I have a question about the lighting situation in my brand new grow box. I recently invested in a growbox I bought off the internet. It stands @3fthx14''wx7''L. My question is wether or not the lights that came with it are the right ones. It came with six cfl bulbs. 3 for veg & 3 fer flower. The veg. are 14w (60w equivalent) GreatValue Daylight cfl's with 800L 120v 5000k. The flower bulbs are the same brand & same watts as the veg exept they are soft white with 900L120v 2700k. So my question is are these suitable for my growbox or should I get brighter lights fer each stage. I also bought a split socket adapter so I can fit a total of 4 lights. The reason im questioning the lights is cuz i calculated the volume of my box to about 3500ftx3 which means in order to keep my temps in check id have to go with a 700cfm fan at minimum to push out all that air every 5 minutes.Thebox came with two small ass pc fans that im pretty sure dont even push out or in 100cfm each (Hopefully they're a little close 2 75) but fuck it that isnt my concern at the moment cuz I plan on getting 2 mini blowers @ 240cfm. So point is wat up with the lights they good ornah also im pretty sure adding an extra light wouldbebetter right. Lmk whts good alsoif doing combo lighting isbetter.ferexample maybe 2 bright lights on the side ndimmer ones in the middle or maybe even throwing an led or two inthe middle? Lmk. Any advice is greatly appriciated!

You can go CFL , with that size of a box , you can do most auto strains.
Get rid of those bulbs ... Get 100w /150w .

ECOSMART 100w ( 5000k ) veg stage lights
OptiLight 150w ( 2700k ) flowering stage

Eco can be bought at Home Depot / OptiLight ( believe it or not ) at 99¢ store
and was as cheap as 59¢ each. So bought like 30 ( stock up ).

You can build a hood later for more plants or go LED PANELS.
I built a hood and " Chamber Box " for my micro grows .

Anybody says you can't grow nice smoke is full of shit and doesn't know how to do it.
I prefer Micro / Small grows ( it's for personal use anyways ) , I don't need a ROOM FULL of plants , I rather have plants I can supervise more closely and get as best out of it as I can.

I mostly do autos but can grow a Supercropped / LST regular strain too. I don't want a High Heat HID light ( I don't have room for it or desire to cut and run a vent system )
I use a Dustshroom or DIY Scubber and use push-pull air control ) whether in tent or OPEN SPACE design. The Chamber use a negative pull fan on top and an inline in the rear of cab. It's really not that hard to sit down and sketch out a grow area or box.
The Chamber is a 32 gallon tote with the lid attached ( and Mylar lined ) as a door. But can used as an open face grow space. ANOTHER benefit is I can swap out bulb with an LED RED SPECTRUM (e26 socket ) flood bulb for flowering.

ANYBODY can hang a panel or HID , I like doing things a bit different . It's cool to create a grow space or even how you light your plants ....( look at the COB builders ) on this forum, the experiments in their creations keeps this hobby alive. I'm actually looking into creating a BLOOM ONLY LIGHT.

WHY ? Because that stage is where the magic happens. This is the stage that you need to get the best flowers you can. Getting thru VEG STAGE really isn't an issue , but flowering is where the hard work pays off !

These were from a CFL GROW ONLY. ( it's a good way to test the waters of growing weed )

FUCK YEAH!! exactly the kinda info i was looking for thanx bro. Also does any one agree with this guy or what cuz i know theres tons of option but BB sounds good so for now ur info is golden !!! ALSO HAD ANOTHER IMPORTANT ? I RECENTLY CHANGED THE CFL BULB THAT LIGHTS UP MY GIRLS CLOSET N REMEMBERED IT WAS A FUCKEN HOT ASS BULB THAT WAS ABOUT 60W NABOUT 1300 LUMENS. So the ? is if i go with BBs lighting which is double my ex closet light wont it be a furnise up n my growbox. Common sense says yes. So im gunna invest in two 3 inch blowers that push/pul around 240 cfm cuz i cantfind any practical sized fans fer my size box that need about a700 cfm fan accord to high times fan info. The only practical sized fan was a7INCH radiator fan for cars n yeah fuck that. SO MY NEXT ? is if i do get the staged lighting BB recommends would my two intake\outake 240 cfl blowers push/pull enough air in/out .

ALSO THE BOX CAME WITH TWO 12V PC FANS. MY NEXT ? IS IF I ADD THE 2 BLOWERS WOULD IT FUCK UP THE PC's SINCE THE CFM RATING IS MUCH LOWER?

Ok so let's talk led i heard its better to grow if u want heat reduction but as apposed to cfl's are they better? Any cfl vs. Led forums? Idk cfl's seem better cuz there brighter but two cats already requested I use leds so what's good what type of led should I get as in size watts lumens nm. Reason I flew over led is cuz no one gave me a specific light to work with BB shot me some info on the exact type of lights so if I can get some info on the size and rating of the led I should work with for my specific grow box it would be much appreciated!!

Just looked one up n I noticed it said it only had a 50 hour lifespan? So does that mean I can only run it for 50 hours total life span or total 50 hours straight before it needs to be shut off.. Like I said I'm hoping they except my returns at Home Depot but yeah are these things any good they look cheap?!!

Those CFLS I mentioned are rated :

ECOSMART : 100w (23w draw ) 1600 lumen per bulb
OptiLight : 150w ( 46w draw ) 2650 lumen per bulb

Run a mixed spectrum of bulbs

Just looked up another on n saw that I guess most of me at actually 50,000 hours life span. So u think this the right way to go I mean the first one I saw looked cheap but the second has a cooling fan all I just might invest into this also what if I add a couple cfl's while using the led? Does that increase yield or just heat?

LED panels can work for you too.
There are many brands and prices to suit your needs .
I run duals ( in one tent ) or separate for each stage I'm running.
Most growers think you gotta drop a grand on a decent panel , I call bullshit.

These are Mars Hydro series II 900w (2). They are a couple hundred bucks apiece and have paid for themselves thru 6 grows. ( you will hear the trolls say they are not good , BUT THEY WORK AND GROW GOOD BUD. ( Haters move on )

They run relatively cool and are very dependable. I ordered from a local shop.
They really work well during all stages. No Bells and Whistles , just a good light.

They are cool enough to run in this bedroom grow .... bongsmilie

For comparison, I get about 1100 lumens from 8.5 watts of Bridgelux Vero 10's....@ 40% efficiency...so that "1100" lumens is turned into roughly about 3-3.5 PAR watts....They 23w 1600 lumens CFL is 16% efficient roughly, so that "1600 lumens" is roughly 3.68 PAR watts emitted...

Anyone can grow with anything, almost literally, but the draw using the above example, is that I am putting out roughly the same usable plant light from 8.5 watts as compared to 23 watts....Same output, different wattages, this one is easy......

Yes, they are quite a bit more efficient than CFL's, even the Home Depot LED light bulbs are a step up...I was once a CFL grower for a moon or two...been with LED's going on 2 years and not looking back...

I'm partial to HID lights.. for micro applications I like to use 100W MH relatively low cost and easy to wire. They keep plants small, nuggets stay tight and you get your UV exposure. and it will work in the space you listed.. Its similar to the size of an aerogarden and I've been using an HID in an aerogarden for years. Lifespan is ok.. You might have to change them every year.

I think LED's are finally comming around, I experimented with them many years ago. but the latest generation is looking like real grow lights. But they are expensive compared to HID.,

CFL's are fine, you have to really keep things close to the light.
