Thanks guys... and I think I got to them in time. They do look pretty sad, and I will admit, that made me sad as well... I am optimistic, and if something like this would have happened during vegging, I wouldn't be worried at all... Plants can take longer to bounce back from something like this during flowering.

I am sure they will bounce back wolf....there are 2 trhings that keep from doing dwc again, one is potential equipment failure, and the other was keeping my ph under control...........but you seem to have it matered, keep it up

Thanks thanks guys.. and bigd I see what you mean about equipment failure.. that pinched air hose will definitely effect my yield.. since the plants will take time and energy to recover... time and energy that would normally go to bud production. It is a learning experience though, and I will make note of it, and try to come up with a way to prevent something like this in the future.. in the meantime.. I check for bubbles right before going to bed each time.

As for ph problems.. it is a good thing I went with the pureblend pro nutes... they make it easy to keep the ph in check. I don't think I would have the same results if I used chemical nutes.

honestly I think if I had done a micro dwc like yours I would have been better off, but I had like a 10 gallon res going and thats a bitch to change lol........hmmm come to think of it I have an aerogarden in the garage, maybe I will build another grow box and do a side by side comparison...........

Sorry for the delay in the update. Things are hectic in the shop..

I wish I had better news... but

My 2 sick girls are still sick and not doing well at all.. but still clinging to life.
It looks like they toke a 1, 2 punch... not only did the get there air hose pinched, but one thing I missed was that the rez was being heated by the cfl's of the lower chamber since the rez is right above them.. I have solved the problem and will show how with my next pic update. With both a pinched air hose and the heat.. I don't know how they even stayed alive this far.

The reason I missed the heat issue is cuz I check on them as their light cycle begins.. the rez is still cool then... When I checked them the mourning after before the end of their light cycle is when I found that the water in the rez was significantly warm and it smells of root rot. Sad in deed.

For today I have changed the rez and refilled it with ph'd water and h2o2...

Now I have a difficult decision to make..

Should I continue with the h2o2 treatment and hope for the best... or... Operate. I'm thinking of removing the girls from the cab, and trimming the roots... drastic I know, but I should remove as much as the dead roots as I can.

Worst case I will shop them, though they are only 5 1/2 weeks into flowering

So what do you guys think?

Well guys... it looks like your positive vibes and h2o2 is working =]...

I just put a couple of hours on the girls, and I'm feeling much better about their prognosis.. I think they are going to make it. =]

Though I won't be having any record yields... but that's ok =]

I'll give the rundown tomorrow... for now I need to get some sleep

You really thinking about trimming off some of the dead roots? I have never heard of this before, but if you were to pull it off I think you should pick a new name like "Dr. Wolfman Zen." And then instead of that little bar next to your name that says online or offline, yours should say "the doctor is in" or something along those lines. To get to the point that would be really impressive.

dead roots should be trimmed off, all they will do is domino effect and start effecting the healthy ones. i dont know how your plants will respond in flower room, i know this has helped in veg situations when roots die back or root rot is caught early.

Yeah, I was disconnecting an air hose last night and the friggin' check valve snapped in two. Had to make an emergency trip to Wal-Mart.

damn that sucks, I had wondered how you kept your res cool....the h202 should do the trick.... I remeber reading someones dwc grow, and he would makes ph balanced ice cubes and add them as needed to his res..just an idea, i throw ice cubes in my gowbox every morning helps keep my temps lower and my humidity higher........
