Michigan starts accepting Medical Marijuana card applications saturday

This is Awesome.I have a couple family members who are ill, and wont touch the stuff because it's "Illegal". Maybe I can send them some apps, and they'll wise up and apply.

Or I should say they start issuing I.D. cards saturday.

I'm glad they are finally doing the right thing. I recently lost an aunt in MI after extended illness that caused her a lot of pain. She had to smoke to make it through the day. It always irked me that she had to sneak around like a criminal to get her medicine. I wish she could have had her medicine without being ashamed to break the law.

You have to have a recommendation from your doctor.

Any advice on the best way to broach the subject with the Doc?

I don't have health insurance right now and do not see my PCP very often. I'm also a fairly new patient.

I do have a cronic medical condition, but nonfatal, just uncomfortable. Had my colon removed, which has a bad affect on my digestion.
