Michigan Poasts Pictures and Talks Shit Too.

It's high time we had a thread where we could dump our pictures and shoot the shit without pissing off the experts.
So have at it and have some fun.
Most of us are sick, or otherwise just plodding through trying to make the best of a bad situation.
We do have our gardens and a passion for growing and consuming weed; so let's just share.

Here is my clone of a Grape-13 30 days into bloom cycle:

It is Hazeman Seeds hybrid of Grape Stomper x G-13 Super Silver Haze BX-2.

Same plant closer up:

And finally as close as I can get it:

So I probably need a tri-pod and a light box; but don't we all?

Last time I grew it it made a wonderful top; I think the picture is on attitude for the seeds.
I don't think I saved it here though. Can't find it anyway.
Hazeman mentioned he liked some of the pictures for the ads.
So maybe I will find it and show you the Mom too.

So anyway I grew this magnificent kola and was real proud of it and everything.
It was frosty, smelled like grapefruit, and formed some fairly tight nugs when dry.

Then I cut the kola off and gave it to Hazeman.
I know - I'm an idiot. Hey - he made it - it's the least I could do. lol
The lower stuff was very good, and from what I hear the kola was awesome.

more later...

hey marty is that a seed or two that i see in the gs/g13/ssh? that fine white line in the calyx along w a brown hair hint to this, but the detail on me iphone is only moderate. just curious about yer potential seeds and practices. these puppies look real fine and hazeman is lucky to have you as a personal staff grower.

Yep.
I was crop dusting in the other room and kinda just let it go.

Hit with the Purple Marty male.
I wasn't going to save an Elephant "13" because I wanted to start a clone of GDP; so maybe I will reveg that one later instead.
Here's a shot of the seeds growing all over those plants:

So I poasted these in the mean guys thread and figured no one wanted to start any shit so...

Looks like I am growing the plant with the pack of Kools on it for another 35 days.
It's the one on the left in the first picture, and is the bigger, frostier, prettier, one of the two.

I guess it's time to invest in one of my neighbors tomato cages.
So yeah - looks like I hit 5 strains with the Purple Marty - so who knows.

This thread is for everyone - it's not all about me. lol.

If the plant is alive in the morning I figure I got a good chance of doing what I did and getting away with it.
If not I guess I ain't making these seeds.:cuss:

If the graft on top of the plant is alive in the morning I will be astounded; but leery.

esb-72-01.jpgesb-72-02.jpgesb-72-03.jpgesb-72-04.jpgesb-72-05.jpgesb-72-07.jpg

esb-72-06.jpg

So I snagged a tomato cage from my neighbor and tortured the crap out of what's left above stringing it all in there.
Then I stuck it in veg cycle.
I noticed when Fat Marty was revegging that seeds continued developing right thru 61 days of rooting in cloner and transplanting a couple times.
I even had one fall off into medium and sprout I had to yank real quick.

So we shall see.
I didn't plan on seeding this - I was just careless because I thought these would be cut by now.

Well I wasn't into losing that huge top; so I decided to try this route.
It is taking up my slot for GDP I wanted to clone now; so that's where the impromptu graft comes in.

I highly doubt it will take; I didn't even tape it off. Threw some cloning gel on it and stuck it in there like a tight flower vase.

So if it's still alive in a day or two I'll poast a new pic or two.

What? I'm just growing flowers man.

Brain Salad:
e13bc-73.jpg

So I was tired last night and didn't trim much on these; I usually just break stuff like this up but maybe not this time:
e13a-73.jpge13b-73.jpge13b-73-superclose.jpge13a-73-superclose.jpge13-73.jpg

Man that seeding really put a damper on the eye candy factor these girls were sporting last week.
I went ten weeks in bloom, and I bet they could have gone another week easy.
Should have some dank eye candy for the reveg when I run it through again though.

Well it lives; but the graft dies.
I gave it a bunch of nutes and stuck it back in the flower room. Fuck re-veg.

I don't want to mess with seeds in veg.; so I guess I will just hope for the best in bloom after taking my juice.
If this hybrid didn't look so promising I wouldn't even try this.
e13b-74.jpg

What really sucks is I had already flushed it two weeks ago.

The seeds from this plant would be:
(Pine Tar x Purple Rhino) x G-13 BX2 X Fat Marty = Purple Marty,
Purple Elephant x G-13 BX2 = Elephant "13";
so hybrid mix would be Purple Marty x Elephant "13".

Kinda hard to pass up that one; especially if the smoke from E "13" lives up to billing.

Well it dies.
Caught a couple hermies popping out last night.
It was predictable with the light swapping after the torture...

I kinda want to kick my own ass for wasting my time; but I was working on reaction rather than planning.
I got 4 strains left seeded; they all have plenty of bloom time to finish proper.
I don't need to sling pollen for about another month for a project with Kalimans Cheese #1.
But in the mean time I don't want no stressed seeds mixed with regular seeds off same plant(s).

That crop dusting was mainly to preserve my LVPK and GDPKC, and secondary to hit back Fat Marty with it's offspring.
So Grape-13 got hit along with Elephant "13"; but was only in bloom a couple two three weeks.
So Grape-13 stays for sure.

That was fun. NOT!

You had me ready to go fuck with my Jilly Bean and reveg that. lmao. I was gonna do that first thing this morning. What is the Kaliman Cheese #1 project, that sounds interesting.

Oh you can re-veg it; but if it is real close to harvest it might throw stress hermies.
If you are not worried about cross-pollination it's no biggie; but you don't want to hit patients meds with any pollen.

After it revegs for a while you can then take a clone of new growth from the reveg plant and toss the rest.

Take it and prepare it like a regular clone down below, and then cut any buds in half before sticking it in your cloner.
Make sure it has as many good fan leaves left as possible - the clone feeds off those while in the no nute cloner environment.
I pretty much always have nice roots within 2 weeks.

Usually the odd-ball reveg growth has just started by the time I get it out of the cloner.
You then want about 2 or 3 weeks before taking clone(s), and discarding the reveg unless you want to re bloom it.

The thing with re-blooming a reveg is the garbage left behind in the re-veg process from the old flowers.
It will rot if left unattended for too long; so as the plant grows out you need to trim that shit off before it hits bloom or you risk bud rot.

Most likely if you take a cutting of your Jillybean and stick it in the cloner it will Not hermie.
But you do need to watch it just in case.

Understand that I took the E-13 plant and cut it in half, then stuck a foriegn substance down it's throat, and stuck it in 18 hours of light followed by 12 hours of dark.
It almost had to hermie. Especially seeing as I gave it nutes two weeks after flushing.

I had taken dozens of clones from various stages of bloom and only lost a couple doing this.
I never had a hermie in the cloner yet.
I just can't take that chance with my other projects going.
Do it man.

I got some pics of the process if you need.

The Kaliman Cheese #1 project is pure Exodus cut of Skunk that reverted for a guy named rockster in G.B.
He did some research and found it can and does happen, etc. Something to do with hormones present in perfect environment.
So they guy got two males out of a batch of clones and made seeds.

I'm intending to find best phenos and make seeds and work it out some and see what we get.
If I come up with anything promising then Hazeman will take it and do whatever it is he does.:joint:
Same with whatever I mess with - if it looks good like Fat Marty plant then he works it out some and crosses, etc.

There is one so far I found he made a hybrid with and I got some beans of it to test.
It doesn't have a name really, and I'm not sure how far along it is; but he has had the Mom for at least 2 years to play with.

So yeah - that's why I need to make certain there is no active pollen flying around when I do the Cheese #1 pollination in around 5 weeks.
I have to be absolutely certain what the seeds are no matter how good they look or they are not worth the effort.
I have the leisure of not being a Caregiver to any but myself; if I screw up a grow like I did with end of Elephant "13" it's all on me and I can manage that.
But if you have to provide meds regular you don't want to mess around without some seperate sealed areas to play in.

The JB is done. I figured my plate is full right now. I will mess with other experiments first. lol. I just had to take a break and medicate for a few minutes. Maybe have another cup of coffee. I am actually getting ready to plant the Purple Marty, Purple Elephant Stomper and Elephant Stomper next. Take a few pics. I damaged a the leaves assisting one of the PM when it was sprouting. I just cannot leave those fuckers alone when they are shedding the seed shell. I had a few that didn't bust the shell enough and died so I am always fucking with them as soon as they break the surface of the cube. lol.
I will be looking forward to the progress on the cheese. It would be fun as hell to watch it progress from test to Cup winner. lol.

Does your Jillybean have any "baby poo" taste or odor to it?

I've heard more than one person on subcools forum describe it like that ..... they've got me kinda worried after 3 kids and 8 straight years of changing shitty diapers!

Hey, more on the grafting please. have you had sucess? Do you have a journal or anything about grafting? I'm way interested in that for the purpose of a beg mother with 3-7 flavors of different clone samples to take from one mother. plant numbers being limited it's worth a headache for as amny as I can get in as few plants.

That would be the shit. 1 mama, a bunch of different varieties!!

The Vortex I had from Sub smelled like baby poo.
Was really tight smoke though.

But yeah - I can do without that smell as well.

No successful grafts for me.

But - I never tried it the right way.
The most successful way to graft weed with minimal equipment is supposed to be:
Prepare graft with a "v" point on bottom of stem and then slice Just Above a node cutting about halfway through the stem.
Bend the node down and insert graft. Cover with cloning gel.
Wrap graft area with moist paper towel and then seal with foil or saran wrap.
Mist the graft several times a day lightly.
Should be good to go in two weeks.

The guy that told me about this method had tried it the way I tried it, (grafting onto a stem directly), and had little success until he happened upon this method. That stuff above was not a serious attempt at a graft; it was a protest graft! lol
Says he rarely has a failure now. Hope this helps man.
