Michigan gathering??

Hello all My Michigan RIU'ers,

I have only been a member here for a few months now, but I was wondering if you guys have ever had a gathering or thought about having a summer gathering?

I was talking with the wife and just thought it would be great to meet up with some other fellow Michigan folks for a weekend gathering.

Whats everyones thoughts?

Well it looks like there are a few people that may be interested in a gathering.

Lets say we where to do this in the summer, When would everyone like to do this?

I might be in depending on date and local.

why don't we make it a end of the summer thing? that way everyone has a chance to hear about it and plan for it and get some of their best harvest together

Im thinking it should be a card required gathering.That would help to keep out undesirables.

What do plan on to do for the people that may only have paperwork at the momement, we all know how promptly the cards are issued?

I would figure bring your paperwork and state id. I'm hoping I would actually have my actual card come in the mail by then. but no matter what I would always carry my paperwork/card with me and also state id.... best way to prove who you are. "We" still need to think of where and when.. Def private property, maybe someone has land with a fire pit that could host and we all bring food to share

Yes, I would think that the paperwork and state I.D. would be fine.
Do yo think it would have to be private land? or would a campground with an area for group camping seperated from the population be ok?
I know private land would be our best scenario, just thinking out loud here.

As for location? maybe if we could get some type of idea of the location of those that are interested in attending. Something like U.P. - Southern Michigan - Mid Michgan -West Michigan - East Michigan.
With doing this we would be able to have a location close to the majority of the people or a central location to allow more to attend. I would like to see this happen and have a decent turn out and grow from year to year.

I am located in UP. From the looks of it, I am the only fucking person up here!!! lol.

instead of outlawing the people with no cards, why not make those with no card sign a waiver stating that they know they are among "lawful participants in the MMJ community" and forfeit any implied status of protection, meaning if they get caught they cant say, "well I didnt know". just a thought, i have great friend/growers that havent used a card in their history.
